Abstract. 2014 The velocity of propagation of stable detonation waves in propane-oxygennitrogen mixtures was measured and the evolution observed during the phases of formation or destruction by means of a simple experimental device using the Doppler effect in the centimetric wave-length band. The oscillographic records of this effect have enabled us to characterize by a particular frequency the instability phenomena which are in connexion with the structure of the observed detonation waves.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
