Zusammenfassung. Bei hochmyopen Augen fand sich eine auf 4,3% erhohte Amotiorate nach Kataraktoperation mit Hinterkammerlinse ohne operative Komplikationen im Vergleich zu emmetropen Augen mit ECCE + IOL (0,93%). Bei einem durchschnittlichen Nachbeobachtungszeitraum von 2,4 Jahren konnte bei der Nachstarrate kein Unterschied zu emmetropen pseudophaken Augen gefunden werden, sowie bei Verwendung von PMMA-Linsen auch keine wesentliche Dezentrierung festgestellt werden konnte. In uncomplicated cataract surgery of highly myopic eyes, in cases with implantation of a posterior chamber IOL a retinal detachment rate of 4.3% was found in comparison this rate was 0.93% in emmetropic eyes with ECCE and IOL. No difference could be found in the rate of posterior capsule opacification in comparison to emmetropic eyes. When using PMMA lenses, no essential malposition of the IOL was obtained. Most patients were satisfied with their postoperative visual acuity.
