nitro compoundsnitro compounds (benzene compounds) Q 0100
-082Synthesis of Aliphatic 1,3-Dinitro Compounds.-1,3-Dinitro compounds such as (III), (VI)/(VII) and (IX) (9 examples) are prepared by reaction of primary aliphatic nitro compounds and primary or secondary α-nitroalkenes in the presence of catalytic amounts of triethylamine. Hindered substituents of the alkene and instability of the 1,3-dinitro compounds limit the scope of this reaction (cf. formation of (XI)/(XII) or (XIV)). -(DERRI ALCANTARA, M.-P.; CABRERA ESCRIBANO, F.; GOMEZ-SANCHEZ, A.; DIANEZ, M. The 1,3‐dinitroalkanes (III), prepared by coupling the nitroolefins (I) with the nitroalkanes (II) in the presence of bases, react with hydrazine hydrate (IV) to form the pyrazoles (V).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
