The article presents the peculiarities of pregnancy in HIV-infected women. Prevention of HIV transmission from the pregnant woman to the fetus can reduce the level of perinatal infection by more than 8%. An important aspect in preventing fetal infection is the timely registration of an HIV-infected pregnant woman in a women's clinic, the rejection of invasive prenatal diagnosis, the choice of the optimal antiviral treatment regimen and method of delivery, the prohibition of breastfeeding. The tactics of managing pregnant women with HIV infection is an urgent problem of obstetrics.
