As a result of research, the effect of the peptide-amino acid chelated additive on hematological indicators and the concentration of amino acids in the blood of sire bulls was found. Application of the additive under investigation in, the amount of 2 and 3% of the weight of mixed feed, contributes to a reliable increase of total protein in blood serum of bulls by 9.5–12.3%, albumins – by 8.8-9.8, the content of trace elements – by 10.2-25.8%, and concentration of essential amino acids – by 0.08-1.26 p.p.
As a result of the studies it was found that rearing of replacing heifers on the floor space of 1.6 m2 per head between 1 and 6 months of age, 2.5 m2 – from 6 to 12 months, and 3.0 m2 – from 12 to 18 months helps in prolonging the period of cud chewing in a standing position by 1.9 – 2.4 times, and the chewing period of food by 2.1-2.2 times. It also positively affects some blood indicators, which was expressed in a reliable increase in the lysozyme activity of blood serum by 0.2–0.3 p.p., phagocytic activity of neutrophils – by 2.7–3.0 p.p., hemoglobin content by – 3.9–4.5% and total protein – by 4.9–6.0%.
As a result of the studies, it was found that from birth to 6 months of age calves reared in individual hutches up to 60 days of age grew more intensively compared to reared up to 30 and 45 days of age. Their live weight was by 3.3% (P<0.05) higher compared to their herd mates’ kept in hutches up to 30 days of age; the average daily increase in live weight was by 4.0% (P<0.05) higher, and the relative growth rate – by 3.0 p. p. in young animals kept in individual hutches up to 45 days of age, by 1.6%, 2.7% 2.0 p. p, respectively. The safety of calves in all experimental groups was 100%.
As a result of the conducted research, it was found that the technological equipment for primary milk processing significantly affected physical and chemical parameters of milk. Namely, in terms of somatic cells, higher-quality milk was obtained from a group of cows at MTF “Unibox”, where a pre-cooler and the second stage of milk purification were used, and in cows at MTF “Westphalia” this indicator was approaching the maximum permissible value for the "extra" variety (300 thousand/cm3). The indicator of bacterial contamination of milk at MTF “Unibox” was 9.4% lower compared to MTF “Westphalia”, due to the use of a fine milk filter.
In the result of the conducted studies, it was found that in the tethered and loose cow housing, the highest indicators of dairy performance were marked in cows with the duration of the service period of 60-90 days. Dairy performance of these cows is higher than that of the animals with a shorter and longer service period for tethered housing by 5.1-11.7 %, for loose housing – 3.4-12.5 %. Both with the tethered and loose housing, a high milk performance was marked in cows with the dry period of 51-70 days.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
