The city of Bandung has great potential for halal tourism. In addition to the carrying capacity of natural and human resources, Bandung has been designated by the Indonesian. However, policy makers still have not carried out special branding for halal tourism for the city of Bandung. This study has a purpose to observe the importance of branding for halal tourism in Bandung. This study uses a qualitative approach. The data were collected through questionnaires and literature study. The result showed that the majority of Muslims from various countries consider halal tourism branding important and influence their choice of the city they will visit.
This research aims to know the strategy of development of Tourism Destinations in the Togian Islands, Regency Tojo Una-Una, Central Sulawesi Province. The island has become a major national tourist's destination in Indonesia between 50 regions in Indonesia. However, the number of tourists visited the island were fluctuated for the last three years. This research examined the tourism strategy formulation based on internal and external factor analysis at the destination. The research used some instruments to compile data, such as observation, interview, questionnaires, and documentation. The research result indicated that there were several strategies that could be implemented in developing the Togian island. The strategies were as follows: 1) developing cultural and natural tours, such as bird watching, beach activities and Bajeu village visits; 2) establishing close relationship and cooperation between public and private sectors; 3) attracting foreign investors; 4) building and maintaining the tourist facilities in some strategic locations; 5) increasing community awareness for developing tourism; 6) developing ethnic-based tour packages. Therefore, some recommendations for the destination are on developing cultural, natural, and culinary tourism; improving the public facilities; developing accessibility; and strengthening cooperation among stakeholders.
Indonesia has made tourism as the leading sector in economy. This has prompted many regions to compete to develop their tourism potential, including Kota Serang - Banten by launching Kampung Wisata Pancer. Kampung Pancer is closely related to the history of the Karangantu Harbour area, which was an international port during the Banten Kingdom era. Not many studies have discussed about the development of sustainable tourism in the Banten region. This article aims to show the progress of tourism in Banten today. Its development has allowed tourism to stand on its own feet. This study is based on an overview of secondary sources and observations and personal interviews with several informants and tourism experts. The results of this study showed that the tourism development efforts in Kampung Wisata Pancer are not in accordance with the concept of sustainable tourism development. Pengembangan pariwisata berbasis digital merupakan salah satu alternatif untuk menjawab permasalahan pariwisata massal yang kerap mengancam keberlangsungan destinasi pariwisata. Keberlanjutan dalam perspektif pariwisata tidak hanya tentang bagaimana lingkungan ekologis, tetapi juga bagaimana masyarakat setempat menjalani kehidupannya sehari-hari serta manfaatnya secara ekonomi. Penerapan teknologi reservasi digital merupakan salah satu terobosan yang diterapkan oleh daya tarik wisata alam Curug Leuwibumi di Provinsi Banten dalam upayanya mewujudkan pariwisata yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pendampingan digitalisasi berupa teknologi system reservasi digital pada destinasi wisata, khususnya yang berbasis wisata alam. Metode kualitatif yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dikembangkan dengan narasi deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan sistem reservasi digital dapat meningkatkan transparansi dan akuntabilitas pengelola daya tarik wisata Curug Leuwibumi.
Introduction/Main Objectives: Leadership is part of the success of village development. Leaders can choose and apply a leadership model that suits their organization. Background Problems: This research was conducted to analyze the applied leadership model in village tourism. The Head of Pujon Kidul Tourism Village is one of the figures who has succeeded in leading his village and bringing positive changes to the community. Novelty: This study focuses on the leadership model of the village head in managing a tourism village. Research Methods: Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Interviews were conducted using an interview guide instrument containing 12 questions divided into three dimensions (leadership, tourism, and successful factor in leadership). This qualitative research using a case study as a research design.Finding/Results: The application of a combination of transformational and community-based leadership styles in the tourism village of Pujon Kidul has succeeded in improving Pujon Kidul Tourism Village. Usually, the leader only uses transformational leadership in general, but in this village, the leader uses a combination of transformational and community-based leadership. Conclusion: The leadership model used by the head of the Pujon Kidul tourism village is a combination of transformational and community-based leadership community-based leadership.
This study aims to determine competence, quality of work-life and employee performance in one of the hotels in the city of Bandung and to analyze the influence of competence on employee performance and the influence of the quality of work-life on employee performance and the influence of competence and quality of work-life together on employee performance. The method used in this research is a survey method with an associative explanation level. Respondents in this study were 95 employees. The data collection techniques used literature study, documentation study, and field study using interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is a quantitative analysis and statistical analysis. The quantitative analysis includes the respondent's score, while the statistical analysis uses path analysis. The finding shows there is a positive relationship between competence and performance of 0.418, there is a positive relationship between the quality of work-life and performance of 0.596. there is a positive relationship between competence and quality of work-life of 0.371 and epsilon (factors others not researched) of 0.286.
