In this paper we consider confinement and screening of the electric field. We study the behavior of a static electric field coupled to a dielectric function with the intent of obtaining an electrical confinement similar to what happens with the field of gluons that bind quarks in hadronic matter. For this we use the phenomenon of 'anti-screening' in a medium with exotic dielectric. We show that tachyon matter behaves like an exotic way whose associated dielectric function modifies the Maxwell's equations and affects the fields which results in confining and Coulombian-like potentials in three spatial dimensions. We note that the confining regime coincides with the tachyon condensation, which resembles the effect of confinement due to condensation of magnetic monopoles. The Coulombian-like regime is developed at large distance which is associated with a screening phase.

Palavras-chave: adubação, altura das plantas, diâmetro caulinar, área foliar, Arachis hypogaea L.Non-destructive analysis of growth of peanut as related to CaSO 4 and P 2 O 5 doses AB S TR ACTThe lack of informations regarding non-destructive growth analysis of peanut crop with respect to the fertilization motivated this research work. The experiment was carried out in a greenhouse and consisted of 20 treatments, with three replications, in a 5x4 factorial experimental design. The factors were five doses of CaSO 4 (0, 300, 600, 900 and 1200 kg ha -1 ) and four doses of P 2 O 5 (0, 50, 100 and 150 kg ha -1 ). The peanut plants were accompanied by measurements of plant height, leaf area and stem diameter at regular intervals of 10 days during the crop cycle. To compare the yields the following yield variables were used: weight of the seeds, weight of the kernels and the number of beans per plant. The peanut response to the applications of the doses of CaSO 4 or P 2 O 5 for the growth variables did not show significant differences. However, for the yield variables significant differences occurred between the treatments, in which the doses recommended are 300,0 and 86,9 kg ha -1 of CaSO 4 and P 2 O 5 , respectively, taking seed weight as reference. The peanut plants did not rapidly developed the symptoms of deficiency with respect to the growth variables studied.
In the present work we shall address the issue of electrical conductivity in superconductors in the perspective of superconducting domain wall solutions in the realm of field theory. We take our set up made out of a dynamical complex scalar field coupled to gauge field to be responsible for superconductivity and an extra scalar real field that plays the role of superconducting domain walls. The temperature of the system is interpreted through the fact that the soliton following accelerating orbits is a Rindler observer experiencing a thermal bath.
