Spent mushroom substrate (SMS) was pyrolyzed at 450°C for 2 hours and characterized using elemental analyzer and Boehm titration. Shooting range soil was incubated with 2.5% w/w and 5.0% w/w of SMSB for four weeks composition, pH, electric conductivity (EC) mobility of Pb in the incubated soil were studied using a modified selective sequential extraction (SSE) scheme. Total Pb in shooting range soil is shooting range soil is loamy sand with an CEC value 6.0 mEq/100g. After treatment and the concentration of exchangeable Pb decreased. Conclusively, th is potential in using SMSB for remediating Pb contamination in the shooting range soil.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
