Professional nurses according to the book National Accreditation National Standard edition 1.1 are as one of the one Professional Care Provider (PPA). As a PPA who provides care for 24 hours in hospital, it demands that nurses as care professionals must have competence. According to SNARS edition 1.1 hospitals are required to have nursing credential regulations includes evaluation and verification of education, registration, permits, authority, training and experience, Hospitals must also plan for nursing human resources by having qualification standards and Staff Authority (KKS). This study aims to explore in depth efforts to optimize the implementation of credentials according to the National Hospital Accreditation Standards. The research design used in this research is a qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach . Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with 10 participants and document studies. As a result, there are themes of credential implementation efforts with sub-themes of credentialing and credentialing processes, availability of clinical authority and white papers, involvement of bestari partners, competency assessor training, and technology-based. Credentials and credentials can improve quality, protect patient safety, maintain nursing care service standards and provide protection to nurses. Keywords: Credentials, Clinical Authority, White Paper, Competency Assessor ABSTRAK Perawat profesional menurut buku Standar Nasional Akreditas Nasional edisi 1.1 adalah sebagai salah satu Profesional Pemberi Asuhan (PPA). Sebagai PPA yang memberikan asuhan selama 24 jam di rumah sakit, maka menuntut perawat sebagai profesional pemberi asuhan harus mempunyai kompetensi. Sesuai SNARS edisi 1.1 rumah sakit wajib mempunyai regulasi kredensial keperawatan meliputi evaluasi dan verifikasi pendidikan, registrasi, izin, kewenangan, pelatihan dan pengalaman, Rumah sakit juga harus merencanakan SDM Keperawatan dengan mempunyai standar Kualifikasi dan Kewenangan Staf (KKS). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengekspolarasi secara mendalam upaya optimalisisasi pelaksanaan kredensial sesuai Standar Nasional Akredetasi Rumah Sakit. Desain penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah desain penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan 10 partisipan dan studi dokumen. Hasilnya terdapat tema upaya implementasi kredensial dengan sub tema proses kredensial dan rekredensial, ketersedian kewenangan klinis dan buku putih, keterlibatan mitra bestari, pelatihan asessor kompetensi, dan berbasis teknologi. Kredensial dan rekredensial dapat menigkatkan mutu, perlindunga terhadap keselamatan pasien, mempertahankan standar pelayanan asuhan keperawatan dan memberikan perlindungan kepada perawat.
