negaba alcoholismo. No era adicta a drogas por vía parenteral aunque reconocía haber consumido éxtasis dos horas antes del ingreso. La exploración física únicamente puso de manifiesto una artritis en ambas rodillas y tobillo derecho sin derrame articular y las lesiones cutáneas previamente descritas. Las exploraciones analíticas practicadas fueron normales incluídos los parámetros hematológicos y bioquímicos. La serología de los virus de las hepatitis A, B y C y la serología para Salmonella, Shigella, Toxoplasma, Chlamydia, Yersinia y Rickettsia fueron negativas al igual que la gonocócica y la luética. El factor reumatoide y los anticuerpos antinucleares fueron negativos. Se inició tratamiento con 500 mg/día de naproxeno con remisión del cuadro en 24 horas. En controles ambulatorios posteriores la enferma permanece asintomática.Hasta la fecha no se ha comunicado ningún caso de oligoartritis "reactiva" a la ingesta de éxtasis. Por el momento desconocemos si es el propio éxtasis, un metabolito o incluso un contaminante o aditivo empleado en la formulación de los comprimidos. El análisis del comprimido ingerido por nuestra paciente por uno de nosotros (MF), únicamente estaba compuesto de éxtasis. Se hace pues necesario interrogar por el consumo de drogas de carácter ilegal como el éxtasis ante toda artritis de aparición aguda en un adulto joven.
