Objetivo: Determinar los factores de riesgo asociado a Insuficiencia Venosa Crónica en miembros inferiores en pacientes adultos del servicio cardiovascular del Hospital de Policía período Enero – Julio 2019. Material y métodos: Se llevó a cabo un estudio observacional, analítico de casos y controles, retrospectivo y transversal. La población estuvo conformada por 890 pacientes adultos de edades entre 25 a 85 años que asistieron al Servicio de Cardiovascular del Hospital Nacional de PNP Luis N. Sáenz. La muestra estuvo constituida por 220 pacientes adultos, 110 casos y 110 controles. Resultados: Del total de 220 pacientes se encontró un predominio del grupo etáreo de 56-85 años siendo el 65,9% entre los casos y controles y el 38.6% presenta IVC. Según tipo de trabajo el 59,5% se trata de policía en retiro y el 33,6% presenta IVC a diferencia del restante 25,9% que no presenta IVC. De acuerdo al IMC de los participantes el 59,1% tienen sobrepeso, pero solo 34,1% padece de IVC y el 25% del restante presentó obesidad, pero no IVC. Conclusión: En las variables de: edad, el tipo de trabajo y el IMC existe evidencia estadística significativa para presentar Insuficiencia Venosa Crónica, fueron los hallazgos más frecuentes encontrados los del grupo etáreo de 56-85, pacientes en retiro, además de pacientes con sobrepeso adultos que acuden al servicio cardiovascular de entre 25 a 85 del Hospital Nacional de PNP Luis N. Sáenz 2019.
