Das instabile obere SprunggelenkSehr geehrte AGA-Mitglieder, liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen, in diesem Leitthemenheft werden die unterschiedlichen Aspekte der Instabilität des oberen Sprunggelenks behandelt.Das obere Sprunggelenk ist nach wie vor die häufigste Sport verursachten verletzung. Grund genug, sich mit diesem Thema innerhalb unserer Gesellschaft für Arthroskopie und Gelenkchirurgie intensiv auseinanderzusetzen.Die Autoren sind Mitglieder des Fuß-und Spunggelenkkomitees der AGA und beschäftigen sich intensiv mit den hier vorgestellten Themen in Theorie und Praxis.Die erstellten Beiträge geben Expertenmeinungen mit teilweise neuen wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen wieder; die aktuellen Richtlinien bleiben aber berücksichtigt und werden in den Kontext gestellt. Didaktisch sind die einzelnen Publikationen in sich abgeschlossen, methodisch bauen sie aufeinander auf.Insbesondere müssen hier die chronischen Rotationsinstabilitäten am oberen Sprunggelenk erwähnt werden, die oftmals mit unterschiedlichen intraartikulären und extraartikulären Pathologien zusammen auftreten und einem komplexen Therapieschema unterliegen.Hierbei können nicht nur Einzelpathologien angegangen (isoliertes Entfernen von Weichteilimpingement), sondern das Arthroskop auch zur Beurteilung der Funktionalität des Gelenks herangezogen werden (Weichteilimpingement auf dem Boden einer chronischen lateralen und/oder medialen Sprunggelenksinstabilität), um gegebenenfalls die weiteren notwendigen offenen Operationsschritte anzuschließen.Der didaktische Aufbau der Leitthemenbeiträge siehtzudem vor, dassdie Abbildungen teilweise eine in sich geschlossene Einheit bilden und einen schnellen Überblick mit ausführlichen Untertexten ermöglichen.Die Autoren der Leitthemenbeiträge erheben inhaltlich keinen Anspruch auf Vollständigkeit. Das würde den Rahmen sprengen -gemäß dem Pareto-Prinzip haben wir hier das Wesentliche zusammengetragen.
