Rel. quantitative alkaloid determination 5% standard deviation in adsorption mode 3% standard deviation in fluorescence mode Summary A direct densitometric method for the quantitative measurement of reserpine and ajrnaline in whole roots and bark of roots of Rauwolfia Vomitoria, after extraction and separation by thin-layer chromatography, is described. The emission and excitation spectra of the reserpine and the absorption spectrum of the ajmaline were scanned. The linear range between peak area and concentration is given.
The authors propose a kinetic experiment that uses high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) to determine the rate and equilibrium constants in a very simple manner, and separate the molecular species under study.
We use Dissipative Particle Dynamics simulations, combined with parallel tempering and umbrella sampling, to investigate the potential of mean force between model transmembrane peptides in the various phases of a lipid bilayer, including the low-temperature gel phase. The observed oscillations in the effective interaction between peptides are consistent with the different structures of the surrounding lipid phases.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
