Correlations between temperature of surface of friction, hardness of adjacent surfaces of steels, nonferrous metals and metal alloys and intensity of surround wear and coefficient of friction of polymer composite filled with unidirectional carbon fibers has been researched. It has been shown that between the investigated variables preferably exist nonlinear correlations.
The theoretical foundations of physics and chemistry and application technology of single- and double-layer coating based on Cu0+Cu2O, Ni0+P, Pb0 on the surface of carbonated fibers have been reviewed. The changes of surface layers crystal structure of carbon fibres in the course of copper-plating have been investigated. The metallic coating process using modified formaldehyde and zinc technology was realized. It is established that copper content in copper – copper oxide increases when using two-layer alternately modified formaldehyde and zinc methods.
Regularities of change of isotropic roughness surfaces of steel 45 in friction and wear in a pair with polymer composite has been researched. It has been detected that the topography of the conjugated metal surface with polymer composite is the dominant factor in determining the value of wear of carbon-plastics at both the start and in the process friction and wear when the metal surface roughness is created by the composite. It has been established that between aftereffects values for roughness of metal counterface and polymer composite in friction and wear exists reliable linear relationship.
The anti-wear properties of polymer composites based on polytetrafluoroethylene with not metallized and metallized carbon fibers in conditions of friction and wear in over limit and limit of specific loads have been researched. The definitions of loading and time indicators the aftereffect which give the quantitative assessment of influence processes and mechanism of friction and wear have been introduced first. It is established that in anti-wear tests of composites samples as in stepped over limit specific load (Ni=var) as in constant limit and specific load (Ni=const) with high probability appears time aftereffect.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
