RESUMO -Foi analisado o desempenho de um reator anaeróbio, operado em batelada e batelada alimentada sequenciais com biomassa imobilizada (AnSBBR) e recirculação, visando a geração de metano e adequação ambiental, na codigestão de vinhaça (50%) e glicerina (50%). O AnSBBR (3,1 L) foi operado em batelada (B) e batelada alimentada (BA), a 30 e 35°C, com carga orgânica volumétrica aplicada (COVA) de 5,0;7,5 e 10 gDQO•L -1 •d -1 , com tempos de ciclo (tC) de 4, 6 e 8 h, com tempos de alimentação (tF) de 10, 120, 180 e 240 min. Os melhores resultados ocorreram na operação em batelada alimentada (tC = 6 h, tF = 180 min e 10 gDQO•L -1 •d -1 -Ensaio 6), sendo obtida uma eficiência de remoção da matéria orgânica de 90%, produtividade de metano de 160,4 molCH4•m -3 •d -1 e rendimento entre metano gerado e matéria orgânica consumida de 15,5 mmolCH4·gDQO -1 , indicando a viabilidade do AnSBBR.
