Down syndrome is not a rare pathology, so the need to study the dental status of children with Down syndrome, the identification of risk factors for the development of dental diseases, namely, periodontitis and caries, as well as the development of an individual prevention program for dental diseases is essential. 102 children aged 8 to 12 years were examined to analyze the dental status and study the risk factors for the development of major dental diseases. For more information about the socioeconomic level of life of families where children live, a survey was conducted. Determined the effectiveness of oral hygiene PHP. A program of individual prophylaxis in children with genetic pathology was developed. It was found that the factors that reduce the effectiveness of the prevention program include: impairment of the child's mental development, peculiarities of the somatic status of children with Down syndrome, the socioeconomic factor, parents 'attitude to their health and the health of their children.
