O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a qualidade física, química, incidência e freqüência de fungos em pós-colheita nos frutos de mamoeiro 'Formosa' comercializados no local de distribuição (CEASA de Patos-PB), na feira livre e supermercado no município de Pombal-PB. Em cada local, realizaram-se duas coletas por mês, durante os meses de março e abril de 2010. Utilizou-se o delineamento experimental em blocos ao acaso, sendo os blocos constituídos pelos dias de coleta e os tratamentos, os estabelecimentos comerciais. Os frutos comercializados nos diferentes estabelecimentos não diferiram quanto a massa fresca, espessura de polpa, comprimento longitudinal, comprimento transversal, aparência interna, sólidos solúveis (SS) e pH, porém houve diferença na qualidade dos mamões entre os estabelecimentos quanto a aparência externa, cor externa, severidade de doenças, acidez titulável (AT) e relação SS/AT. Os frutos comercializados na CEASA tiveram maior AT, melhor aparência externa e menor severidade de doenças. Entretanto, houve incidência de patógenos fúngicos nos mamões de todos os estabelecimentos. Os patógenos identificados foram Lasiodiplodia theobromae, Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, Fusarium spp., Alternaria alternata, Rhizopus spp., Aspergillus spp., Curvularia spp. e Penicillium spp.
