Wholesale markets of agricultural products are an important element of marketing infrastructure, and institutions at agrarian market make it possible to manage sales of bulk batches of agricultural products. The purpose of the research is to substantiate competitive advantages of wholesale markets as a type of entrepreneurial activity and benefits of the country from building a network of wholesale markets of agricultural products in Ukraine, as well as to examine and generalise the experience of the functioning of wholesale food markets in Poland. The research methods are abstract logical (theoretical generalisation of the research and substantiation of the conclusions), comparative (analysis of the current state of the development of wholesale markets of agricultural products in both Ukraine and Poland). The paper substantiates competitive advantages of wholesale markets, distinguishes the main directions of the relative activity and describes the country's benefits relating to building a network of wholesale markets of agricultural products in Ukraine. The main advantages of the functioning of wholesale markets are the quality of food products, price control, better budgeting, increasing competition at the consumer market, fast promotion of products to consumers and creation of new jobs. The study looks into the positive experience of the functioning of wholesale food markets in Poland. Based on the obtained results we draw a conclusion about the expediency of building a network of wholesale food markets as an important premise ensuring economic security of commodity producers and meeting the demand of consumers for high-quality food products.
Today, international tourism is one of the most affected sectors of the economy due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. The main purpose of this article is to analyze current trends and identify prospects for the international tourism development in the context of increasing globalization risks in the world, using the example of Ukraine’s integration into the global tourism industry, as Ukraine is located in the centre of Europe and belongs to a number of countries with developing economies, and has the potential to expand its tourism industry, which may be of interest to the international scientific community in terms of overcoming the bifurcation point of its economic development. Analyzing the tourism industry, as one of the most progressive sectors of the world economy, we used general scientific and special research methods (abstract-logical, statistical, systemic analysis and synthesis, abstract-theoretical, and correlation-regression analysis). The paper analyzes major indexes of international tourism development in the modern globalized world and details the risks emerging during the global COVID-19 pandemic. It examines the global dynamics of tourism flows, where France, Spain, and the USA are unquestionable leaders. The study considers foreign exchange earnings of international tourism and the industry contribution to the gross domestic product of countries being an essential component of national budgets. Based on the study conducted, there were developed reliable forecast models for the tourism industry development in the countries under research. These models will provide an opportunity to generate reliable forecasts, which will allow timely identification of potential threats and making effective decisions to address them. At the same time, the issues of managing information support of economic entities in the field of international tourism need to be further developed in order to reduce risks.
The problem of competitive growth of the Ukrainian layer poultry farming products is conditioned by expansion of the European integration relations and high rates of growth of the overall production in this sector. The article is aimed at substantiating of competitive advantages of enterprises occupied in the layer poultry farming sector and at determining the vectors of implementation of the European Union requirements by the domestic enterprises. The authors cover organisational and economic features of the sector, as well as the ways to unlock its potential, and perform economic assessment of the balance of edible eggs. We have identified the need to adapt and retarget domestic enterprises at the European and international market based on the analysis of the level of egg production and consumption per capita, as well as the saturation of the domestic market with egg products. The authors of the article have studied the balance of eggs and egg products, the dynamics of production and trends in export growth of eggs produced in Ukraine. On the basis of a sales pattern of edible eggs produced by agricultural enterprises, we have identified weaknesses in the area and made proposals on how to improve statistical reporting forms. It has been established that high European market requirements regarding the quality and conditions of poultry production represent a challenge for the domestic layer poultry farming to develop at a new qualitative level, based on implementation of new enhanced power-saving and environmentally safe technologies and organic production. The article describes prospects for the use of competitive advantages of Ukrainian enterprises in order to extend the European integration of the sector.Аверчева Н.
