Our results show that the perceived advantages and risks of using drug samples vary by healthcare provider group and in terms of exposure or nonexposure to their use. Concerned professionals must be provided with this information and strict measures must be instituted to ensure patient security.
Our study demonstrated that the forms used in the reconciliation process, in particular the discharge prescription, could increase the quality of the information related to drug use in medical charts. We believe that medication reconciliation forms should be widely used by all the health care professional teams involved in the drug history or prescription process.
Research shows that school-family collaboration reduces the likelihood of failure in school. Our Quebec study of 630 teachers and 957 parents examines practices, attitudes, needs, and expectations concerning failure/success. Although parents are satisfied with the information schools provide, they would like to know more about curricula and material arrangements. They say they want to cooperate with the school, to help with schoolwork, and -especially in primary school -to receive training in order to do this collaborative work. Teachers meanwhile overestimate parent satisfaction about schools' provision of information, and underplay the nedd for parent-teacher conferences. They believe in collaboration, but limit their after-school work time. They, too, think parental training would be helpful.
