INTRODUCCIÓNLa atención primaria de salud, como estrategia para alcanzar el desarrollo de la salud, involucra entre otras cosas la reorientación del sistema de salud. Parte de esa reorientación lógicamente debe reflejarse también en los programas de formación de recursos humanos. Durante la década del 80, se dio inicio a un importante movimiento de evaluación, análisis crítico y propuestas sobre la problemática de la educación en el área de salud. En 1985, en el Informe del Grupo de Consulta de Investigación sobre Personal de Salud se propuso la investigación del proceso educativo como una de las áreas prioritarias y se incluyó entre otros, el estudio y búsqueda de nuevas metodologías para la formación profesional (1).
El sobrepeso y la obesidad, son la epidemia del siglo, su tendencia es aumentar sobre todo en países en vías de desarrollo, y pone en peligro los avances en materia de salud del mundo, los que es una cortapisa para el alcance los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, propuestos por las Naciones Unidas.Presentamos el estado del arte del tema, enlazando con el mismo los aspectos culturales de los entornos comunitarios, escolares y familiares. Presentamos el perfil epidemiológico mundial, de América y de nuestro país. Se analiza la expresión más utilizada para definir el origen de la obesidad el “entorno obeso génico” que refuerzan nuestro argumento, de la necesidad de abordar el tema con nuevas perspectivas, de manera holística, siempre considerando que esa política o esa acción debe ser culturalmente congruente, tal como lo señala la teoría de la Dra. Madeleine Leininger: Enfermería transcultural.Teoría que a nuestro juicio puede dar las bases filosóficas y conceptuales, que ayuden en un abordaje más efectivo de esta epidemia, que está diezmando a la población del mundo, sobre todo a nuestros niños y adolescentes, ya que la obesidad y el sobrepeso, está estrechamente relacionadas con una gama de enfermedades que son acusa de enfermedades y muerte.
Objective. To determine critical thinking patterns manifested by a group of nursing students of the University of Panama after being exposed for a semester to the teaching- learning process using a Teaching Model for Developing Critical Thinking Skills in Nursing (TMDCTSN). Methodology. Qualitative study in which through participant observation critical thinking patterns expressed by the group of students during the course of the last module of the semester were recorded in journals. The emerging patterns were classified in categories according to the critical thinking skills described by the TMDCTSN. Results. It was found that students showed critical thinking patterns according to the eight skills described in the critical thinking teaching model in nursing. Conclusion. The model can be used to develop critical thinking skills in nursing.
Este artículo se centra en el proceso de análisis de datos fenomenológicos, con una propuesta de modificación al modelo de análisis de Clark Moustakas (1994), presentando una discusión que busca fundamentar la propuesta. Se hace referencia a la vida del creador de la filosofía y método de investigación fenomenológica, Edmundo Husserl, y se introduce al filósofo Martín Heidegger quien amplío la investigación fenomenológica, fundamentando la interpretación de los datos fenomenológicos.
Hace un tiempo atrás, la violencia doméstica era considerada como una conducta normal y aceptada, para muchas familias de diferentes culturas. Sin embargo, con el transcurrir del tiempo y gracias a muchas investigaciones, fueron identificados los prejuicios y daños físicos y emocionales que causa la violencia doméstica a las víctimas y a los miembros de la familia.El hogar es el lugar donde se debe cuidar y proteger a sus miembros, pero en ocasiones es el lugar más violento y donde ocurren situaciones de violencia extrema, hasta llegar a la muerte. Son muchos los factores que en diferentes investigaciones se han encontrado relacionados a la violencia doméstica, Perluz, (2017); Fiestas, Rojas, Gushiken, Gozzer, (2012); Vaiz Bonifaz y Nakano, (2004); Alencar-Rodríguez y Cantera, (2013). En este artículo queremos abordar el consumo del alcohol, la infidelidad y la baja autoestima de las víctimas como factores que predisponen para que se presente la violencia doméstica. Este artículo surge de las entrevistas efectuadas a las tres primeras participantes en el estudio, que se realiza actualmente sobre el tema de violencia doméstica.
