ResumenEsta investigación tuvo como objetivo la identificación del agente causal del mildiú de la albahaca y la validación de un método de estimación de la severidad. El patógeno presenta morfométricamente zoosporangióforos monopodiales y ramificados dicotómicamente en ángulo agudo hasta 4,25 veces en la parte terminal, un largo de 320,1 µm; esterigmas cortos de 15,5 µm y de 17,9 µm de largo. Los zoosporangios, ligeramente ovoides con 27,7 µm de diámetro y con 31,9 µm de largo. La estimación de severidad se realizó por el método de Horsfall y Barratt (HB) (Horsfall y Barratt, 1945), por estimación visual directa (VD) y evaluando daño foliar por cada tercio de la planta (TH). La evaluación aleatoria se realizó en tres oportunidades por tres evaluadores, y los valores estimados fueron correlacionados con la severidad real. Para medir la confiabilidad entre evaluadores y métodos de evaluación se empleó el coeficiente de correlación y concordancia (CCC). En el método VD, los tres evaluadores obtuvieron valores de 0,57; 0,63 y 0,44 respectivamente; en el método de HB fueron 0,58; 0,46 y 0,42 y en TH 0,14; 0,08 y 0,52. Se concluye que, el agente causal del mildiú de la albahaca es Peronospora belbahrii y según el CCC el mejor método de evaluación fue el de la estimación visual directa. El trabajo de investigación se realizó en el laboratorio de la Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina, Perú, como una alternativa al control químico se efectuaron ensayos In vitro para determinar el efecto de los microorganismos Trichoderma harzianum (T), Bacillus subtilis (B) y fertilizante proteinato de cobre (P) para el control de Lasiodioplodia theobromae y Fusarium verticillioides asociados a semillas de palto. Técnicas de cultivos duales, triples y cuádruples se realizaron en medio papa dextrosa agar entre los patógenos y tratamientos (T, B, P, T+B, T+P, B+P y T+B+P) bajo un diseño completo al azar con arreglo factorial de 2 (patógenos) x 7 (tratamientos) con cuatro repeticiones. Todos los tratamientos tuvieron efecto en el control de ambos patógenos con valores de inhibición micelial mayor del 60%. La interacción entre T. harzianum + Proteinato de cobre fue el tratamiento con mayor efecto en la inhibición micelial de los patógenos con 91.23 % seguido del fertilizante proteinato de cobre con 87.67 % y T. harzianum con 81.84 % de inhibición, en comparación a Bacillus subtilis. que tuvo menor efecto en el control de estos patógenos fungosos.
<p>En este estudio se evaluó la capacidad de especies del género <em>Trichoderma</em> para mantener sus capacidades reproductivas luego de un procedimiento de liofilización. Durante 90 días se evaluaron la capacidad de producir conidios y la capacidad de germinación de cuatro cepas conservadas a dos temperaturas diferentes y contrastantes entre sí, además de la adición de malto dextrina o agua como agente protector. Luego de 90 días de almacenamiento todas las cepas mostraron altos porcentajes de viabilidad y de producción de esporas. La mayoría de tratamientos redujo su capacidad de producir esporas, sin embargo, la cepa F20M4 produjo 2.88x10<sup>7</sup> UFC/g luego de 90 días de almacenamiento, sin variar respecto de la evaluación hecha a los 30 días. Se evidencia que las esporas conservan mejor su viabilidad al ser conservadas a 28°C, aunque en todos los casos se observaron disminuciones en la viabilidad de las esporas. Solo siete tratamientos obtuvieron más del 80% de viabilidad de esporas luego de 90 días de almacenamiento.</p>
