Objetivo. Determinar la Necesidad de Tratamiento de Maloclusiones y su Influencia en la Calidad de Vida de Estudiantes de Educación Secundaria de la Ciudad de Puno, 2018. Materiales y métodos. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, cualitativo, transversal; la muestra estuvo conformada por354 adolescentes de 11 a 14 años. Se utilizó el instrumento de autopercepción del Componente Estético (CE) del INTO y el Componente de Salud Dental (CSD) del INTO por el Especialista, examinando la cavidad bucal de los Escolares, además de aplicar el instrumento CPQcalidad de vida, ambos instrumentos cuentan con validación Resultados. Se muestra una relación directa y proporcional entre las variables, elmodelo se ajusta con un R2 de 97%, lo cual dice que estas variables están fuertemente asociadas. Se determinó la ecuación de estimación ypredicción del impacto en la CVRSB, en base al valor del componente estético. Donde Y sería el impacto en la calidad de vida y X sería el valordel componente estético del instrumento INTO. Conclusiones: Existe una correlación muy fuerte y positiva entre el componente estético y el impacto en la calidad de vida en escolares de colegios estatales de la ciudad de Puno.
La presente investigación tiene como finalidad identificar y desarrollar como fue el proceso de transición de una educación presencial a una de distancia en América Latina durante la pandemia de la COVID-19, decretada en el 2020, y cómo los docentes se vieron en la obligación ética y moral de transformar rápidamente sus estrategias de enseñanza y aprendizaje para así poder continuar con el proceso pedagógico indispensable para la formación del país. Se trata de una revisión bibliográfica donde se realizó un análisis de contenido, desde la cual se logró distinguir las siguientes unidades de análisis: a) Una sociedad emergente de los espacios tecnológicos; b) La enseñanza en educación a distancia, un cambio a afrontar por los docentes; c) Herramientas tecnológicas que permitieron afrontar esta situación atípica. La revisión mostró cómo fue ese proceso de transición y cuáles herramientas fueron más factibles aplicar tomando en cuenta las posibilidades políticas, económicas y sociales de una población en específico.
RESUMEN El Objetivo del presente estudio fue determinar la influencia del Índice de Masa Corporal (IMC) y Hemoglobina sobre la presencia de caries dental en niños de 6 a 12 años de las Instituciones Educativas Públicas pertenecientes al ámbito QaliWarma de la provincia de Caylloma-Arequipa en el año 2016. Materiales y Métodos: El diseño del estudio es de tipo explicativo, observacional, transversal y retrospectivo. La muestra está constituida por 198 escolares. El diagnóstico de la salud oral se realizó bajo criterios de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS). Se midió la prevalencia de caries mediante la presencia o ausencia de la enfermedad, mientras que, para la experiencia de caries se utilizó los índices de CPOD y ceod. La determinación del IMC se realizó a través de las tablas CDC (Centro de Control de Enfermedades) y Hemoglobina. Para el análisis estadístico de los datos se aplicó la prueba Chi- Cuadrado, y Regresión Lineal. Resultados: Se encontró una alta prevalencia de caries del 93.9%; el 83.8% tienen un IMC normal, además el 80.3% con IMC normal con caries y el 1% de ellos con obesidad y tienen caries. Así mismo, el 78.3% de los niños tienen nivel de hemoglobina normal, el 13.6% leve y el 8.1% moderada. Conclusión: Se encontró influencia del IMC sobre la caries, pero no con la hemoglobina. Además través del estadístico OR (Exp(B)) el IMC presenta el mayor riesgo para que un niño tenga caries.
