The purpose of this research is to identify student's misconceptions on heat subject matter. For identifying student misconception, heat conceptual test instruments are developed. These test are three-tier essay and open-ended test items. These tests are validated by expert and tested empirically to 94 students. Based on empiric test, the validity, reliability, level of difficulty, and distinguishing matter are determined. The subject of this research is grade X Mathematics and Science Program SMAN 7 Banjarmasin that consists of 34 students in second semester of the academic year 2014/2015. This class is chosen by cluster random sampling. Data are analyzed qualitatively by data reduction, coding, data display, and conclusion drawing. Based on the data analysis, it is found that there are misconception and the test instruments can be used to identify student misconceptions.
This research was conducted due to the unavailability of textbook in Basic Physics 1 course especially in heat and temperature topic containing the South Kalimantan local wisdom so that students did not understand their culture well. Furthermore, students’ learning outcome were still not good. Therefore, this study aimed at producing physics textbook that contained heat and temperature topic based on the local wisdom of Hulu Sungai Selatan (HSS) Regency in South Borneo Province which was feasible based on the validity, the effectiveness, and the achievement of rakat mufakat characters. This study was a research and development using the ADDIE model. The instruments used were validation sheet, questionnaire, and achievement test. The results showed that the validity of the textbook was in highly valid category, the effectiveness was in medium category, and the attainment of rakat mufakat character was in very good category. Therefore, it could be concluded based on this research that the physics textbook based on local wisdom of HSS Regency is feasible to use in Basic Physics 1 course to train rakat mufakat characters.
Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mendeskripsikan efektivitas serta validitas dan kepraktisan penggunaan buku ajar Fisika Dasar 1 berintegrasi imtak dan kearifan lokal Kalimantan Selatan melalui model pengajaran langsung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan, dengan model pengembangan Dick and Carey. Subjek ujicoba penelitian ini ialah 17 orang mahasiswa semester 1 Program Studi Tadris Fisika, Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan (FTK) UIN Antasari. Data diperoleh melalui lembar validasi, tes hasil belajar, dan angket. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas penggunaan buku ajar berkategori sedang dengan skor N-Gain sebesar 0,32; validitas buku ajar berupa isi, penyajian, dan bahasa berkategori sangat valid dengan kriteria validitas masing-masing aspek sebesar 93,75%; 92,36%; dan 95%.; dan kepraktisan buku ajar berkategori praktis dengan skor rata-rata 3,21. Simpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa buku ajar tersebut efektif digunakan dalam perkuliahan Fisika Dasar 1.The aim of this study is to describe the effectiveness and validity and practicality of the use of Basic Physics 1 textbooks with integrated faith and piety, and South Kalimantan local wisdom through the direct instruction model. This study is research and development, with the development model of Dick and Carey. The subjects of this study trial were 17 first-semester students in the Physics Tadris Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTK) of UIN Antasari. The data ware obtained through the validation sheet, the test of learning result, and questionnaire. The data are analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The result of the research shows the effectiveness of textbooks usage is medium category with the N-Gain score of 0.32, the textbooks validity of the content, the appearance, and the language have very valid category with the values are 93.75%; 92.36%; and 95%, and the practicability is practical with a mean score of 3.21. The conclusion of this research is the textbooks is effective to use in Basic Physics 1 lecture.
The research aims to describe the religious character and cognitive competence of physics prospective teachers when they used textbook containing Quranic verses. The Quranic verses were relevant to heat and temperature concept then also relevant to local wisdom of South Kalimantan. The research used to research and development, with the development model of ADDIE. The subjects of this research were 18 students of the 2019/2020 academic year who learned heat and temperature topic in Fundamental of Physics 1 course. The data were obtained through a self-evaluation inventory sheet, observation sheet, and test. The data were analysed quantitatively and qualitatively. The result of the research showed that the religious characters of physics prospective teachers from A1 to A5 domain have average score 4.69 which are in very good category and their cognitive competence of C2 to C6 domain improve quite effectively with average normalised gain 0.68. The conclusion of this research is the textbook can be used to train physics prospective teachers to do religious behaviour.
Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melatih dan mengembangkan kemampuan mahasiswa calon sarjana dalam menulis skripsi melalui kegiatan workshop. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah ceramah, tanya jawab, dan penugasan. Peserta pengabdian adalah 82 orang mahasiswa. Kegiatan workshop berjalan dengan berhasil dan lancar. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang dilaksanakan menunjukkan peserta sangat puas dengan kegiatan ini yang ditandai dengan skor rata-rata kepuasan sebesar 4,56 dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil dari kegiatan ini dapat memotivasi mahasiswa untuk menyelesaikan skripsi serta melatih dan mengembangkan kemampuan mahasiswa menulis skripsi. Community service aimed to train and develop the competence of undergraduate students to write a thesis through a workshop. The methods used in this service were lectures, questions, and assignments. The service participant were 82 students. The workshop went successful and smoothly. Based on those activities, participants were satisfied with this workshop with an average satisfaction of 4.46 with a very good category. This service can help motivate students to finish their thesis and train and develop their competence to write a thesis.
ABSTRAK:Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar mahasiswa pada perkuliahan fisika dasar melalui penerapan strategi motivasi ARCS. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ini dipilih dengan cara purposive sampling.
Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melatih mahasiswa menulis buku antologi non-fiksi tentang pengalaman hidup sehingga dihasilkan sebuah buku antologi yang dapat diterbitkan secara nasional. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, tanya jawab, penugasan, dan corrective feedback (umpan balik korektif) dari dosen selaku mentor kepada mahasiswa. Instrumen penilaian yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah lembar penilaian artikel antologi yang diadaptasi dari Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan. Peserta kegiatan berjumlah 22 orang mahasiswa calon guru fisika di Program Studi Tadris Fisika FTK UIN Antasari Banjarmasin. Kegiatan workshop terselenggara secara daring dengan baik dan lancar pada tanggal 24 Juni sampai 10 Agustus 2021. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang diselenggarakan diketahui bahwa mahasiswa telah mampu menulis dengan baik. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah diterbitkannya sebuah buku antologi non-fiksi dengan judul “Aku dan Fisika: Penggalan Pengalaman Seru Saat Belajar Fisika” secara nasional. Selain itu, mahasiswa menjadi termotivasi untuk menghasilkan buku lainnya. This activity aimed to train students to write non-fiction anthology books about life experiences to produce an anthology book that can be published nationally. The methods used were lecture, question, assignment, and corrective feedback from the lecturer as a mentor to students. The assessment instrument used in this activity was an anthology article assessment sheet adapted from the Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan. The activity participants were 22 prospective physics teacher students at Physics Education Department, FTK UIN Antasari Banjarmasin, from June 24 to August 10, 2021. Workshop activities were held online well and smoothly. Based on the activities held, it was known that students were able to write well. The result of this activity was the publication of a non-fiction anthology book with the title "Aku dan Fisika: Penggalan Pengalaman Seru Saat Belajar Fisika" nationally. In addition, students become motivated to produce other books.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kepraktisan buku ajar listrik magnet Seri 2 bermuatan ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an menggunakan model pembelajaran CORE (Connecting-Organizing-Reflecting-Expanding). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan menggunakan model 4D. Penelitian ini menggunakan mahasiswa calon guru fisika berjumlah 14 orang yang sedang mempelajari topik listrik pada mata kuliah listrik magnet di tahun akademik 2020/2021 sebagai subjek ujicoba. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket respon mahasiswa, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan aktivitas mahasiswa, dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan aktivitas dosen. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh buku ajar praktis digunakan karena skor rata-rata indikator kemudahan penggunaan, efisiensi waktu pembelajaran, manfaat buku ajar, dan ketertarikan terhadap buku ajar sebesar 4,00; skor rata-rata keterlaksanaan aktivitas dosen di kelas sebesar 4,52; dan skor rata-rata keterlaksanaan aktivitas mahasiswa di kelas sebesar 3,91. Oleh karena itu, buku ajar yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan pada perkuliahan listrik magnet. Selain itu, buku ajar yang dikembangkan hendaknya diuji pada sampel yang lebih besar. This research aimed to describe Electricity and Magnetism Series 2 textbook practicality that contained Al-Qur’an verses that used CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, dan Extending) learning model. The research was research and development that used a 4D model. The study used 14 prospective teachers who learned electricity topics in the Electricity and Magnetism course of the 2020/2021 academic year as subjects. The data were collected through the students’ responses questionnaire, observation sheet of student activities implementation, and lecturer activities implementation. The analysis data were conducted quantitatively and qualitatively. Based on the result of the research, the textbook practicality was practical because the average score of easy to use, learning time efficiency, benefit, and interest were 4.00, the lecturer activities implementation average score was 4.52, and the student activities implementation average score was 3.91. Therefore, this textbook could be used in Electricity and Magnetism course. Furthermore, this textbook should be tested on a larger sample.
