The alcohol–gasoline blend fuels nowadays are increasingly used instead of gasoline in automobiles. In the present study, the temperature distribution within the cylinder of Suzuki 250Gsx motor was studied, taking in account the use of gasoline, E10-gasoline and E20-gasoline blends as a fuel, separately. The temperature fields are calculated using ANSYS 11 software. The geometric model and dimensions of the cylinder was established using Solid work 2003 program then imported by ANSYS11. After applying the boundary conditions and taking the assumptions in account, the results illustrated that the interchange of gasoline by E10-gasoline and or E20-gasoline blends has a variety of thermal load on the cylinder. Where the temperature distributed decreasingly towards the axial and radial directions. In addition, the engine becomes colder as the ethanol percentage in the fuel been 20%. This may provide supporting information for new designs for using E10-gasoline and or E20-gasoline blends on SI engines so that not to effect the engine operation and lubricating oil performance
There is a strong interest in the use of aluminum alloy sheet for vehicle applications, particularly the body, where resistance spot welding is the principle joining method. The resistance spot welding (R.S.W) quality has a great effected by the process variable such as, welding current, welding time, and electrode pressure beside other variable such as material thickness and type and electrode diameter.
In this work the effect of process variable on welding quality was investigated. Trials were conducted on 1.2 mm thick 2014 – O aluminum alloy sheet. The tensile shear strength was used as primary index of welds quality. Experimental investigation show that the best current is 45 KA, best time is 10 cycle, and electrode pressure of 3 KN .
The aim of this paper was perpetrated lap joint welding samples welded by seam welding method ,2014 heat treatable aluminum alloy ,the paper studied some groups at different variable welding ,welding time was studied at electrode pressure 1,1.5 KN with thickness 1.5 mm and another group at 2 mm .after welding process shear strength ,Vickers hardness were tested at different variables.
The paper stated the best shearing strength at 1.5mm thickness with 45 KA welding current at 1.5 KN electrode pressure. Increase 0.5 mm in thickness lead to decrease 20% of shearing strength.
