La finalidad de esta investigación es difundir las estrategias trabajadas desde la academia a través de los Núcleos de Apoyo Contable y Fiscal NAF, para fomentar la cultura tributaria responsable y voluntaria de las personas naturales no obligadas a llevar contabilidad en sectores vulnerables como: asociaciones de cafetaleros, adjudicatarios de los centros comerciales, artesanas de cerámica, asociaciones de la Mancomunidad Bosque Seco y de las Juntas Parroquiales de la Provincia de Loja. Las personas que forman parte de estos sectores carecen de conocimientos técnicos en el ámbito tributario y desarrollan sus actividades de manera empírica lo cual no les permite determinar de manera adecuada la rentabilidad de los productos que elaboran y por ende no cuentan con informes de los resultados económicos, factores que ocasionan un ambiente de desconfianza y desmotivación entre los miembros de las asociaciones. Estos sectores requieren de atención prioritaria no solo de los gobiernos seccionales sino también de la academia en virtud que desarrollan actividades económicas con productos propios de la localidad, por ello el interés de involucrar a estudiantes y docentes para fortalecer sus conocimientos, en el uso adecuado de los recursos mediante la aplicación de herramientas contables y administrativas básicas. La metodología utilizada es de tipo exploratorio-descriptivo; para levantar evidencias, se aplicó las técnicas de la encuesta y trabajo de campo, los datos se procesarón a través de métodos cuantitativos como el cálculo de frecuencias. De los resultados obtenidos se concluye que para fomentar la cultura tributaria se requiere de un trabajo conjunto entre la administración tributaria, la academia y la sociedad.
El sector minero, desde el punto de vista contable, deben aplicar las Normas Interna-cionales de Información Financiera (NIIF) específicamente la NIC 16 Propiedades, planta y equipo y la NIIF 6 Exploración y evaluación de recursos minerales. La primera norma trata sobre el registro de los activos de la empresa que emplea en su actividad principal, mientras que la segunda busca especificar los activos para exploración y evaluación, a la vez que se incorpora la cuenta de deterioro. En este trabajo se busca describir el uso de la NIC 16 y la NIIF 6 por parte de las empresas de extracción de Ecuador, evaluar y comparar la rentabilidad de las empresas que han incorporado las cuentas de activos para exploración y evaluación con las que no lo han realizado. La base de la Superintendencia de Compañías, Valores y Seguros de Ecuador contaba con 1.918 observaciones de empresas extractivas, se eliminaron las microempresas y se seleccionaron aquellas que cumplen la característica de ser empresas de extrac-ción y cuentan con información en los estados financieros desde el año 2014 hasta el 2018. Se elaboró un panel balanceado para los años 2014 a 2018 con 525 observa-ciones de 105 empresas. Como metodología se emplea la estadística descriptiva para hacer una descripción de las empresas mineras, mientras que para la valoración de la rentabilidad se emplea la estadística inferencial, específicamente el test no paramétri-co H de Kruskal Wallis. Los resultados muestran que la mayoría de las empresas han empleado la cuenta de Activos intangibles de exploración, pero no existe una relación entre esta y su cuenta de valoración. Por otra parte, no existe diferencia en cuanto a la rentabilidad, entre las empresas que emplean la NIIF 6 y las que no la aplican.
