V této studii autoři propojují sociálně-historickou a literárně-vědnou perspektivu. Na jednom konkrétním příkladu (děl Františka Sokola-Tůmy) ukazují potenciál zkoumání nejen vnitřní sémantické struktury textu, ale také jeho vztah k obecnějším sociálním, kulturním a politickým kontextům. V návaznosti na práce Étienna Balibara se autoři domnívají, že antisemitismus (a rasismus obecně) se široce sociálně projevoval nikoli ve striktně hierarchizovaných, kastovně strukturovaných společnostech, ale paradoxně v těch, jež si alespoň formálně nárokovaly princip rovnosti. Jinými slovy v takových kontextech, v nichž se prosazoval diskurs společenského uznání na základě rovnosti mezi lidmi, a zároveň bylo nezbytné legitimizovat zjevné hluboké sociální rozpory. To vysvětluje, proč byly koncepty rasy a rasismu důležité pro české, německé a jiné národní aktivisty v průběhu mobilizace a politických kampaní a zvláště v posledních fázích formování národních hnutí, při prosazování suverenity národního státu a po té během jeho etablování a také destabilizace. V románové pentalogii Sokola-Tůmy V záři milionů (1922) jsou ústřední nitky antisemitské ideologie vetkány do komplexní sémantické sítě, která ztrácí svou nejednoznačnost v postupně se odvíjejícím narativu a stává se jasnou a srozumitelnou i „nejprostšímu“ čtenáři. Tato orientace na „běžného člověka“ ospravedlňuje, že text nenechává žádné myšlenkové komplexy „rozplynout se v poetické hře reflexe“ či „otevřeny“. Pentalogie tak naplňuje kritéria literárního antisemitismus formulovaná Monou Körte. Avšak z našeho úhlu pohledu musí každé takové analýze předcházet precizní a detailní analýza sémantické struktury daného textu a způsobu, jak byl tento text propojen s širšími a obecnějšími sociálními, kulturními a politickými kontexty.
