Resumo-Sistemas de comunicação subaquáticos por ondas acústicas estão sujeitos à degradação de desempenho causada pelo ruído impulsivo gerado pelo crustáceo camarão-de-estalo. Em análises matemáticas ou simulações, esse ruído é comumente modelado por meio de amostras temporalmente descorrelacionadas seguindo a distribuição alfa-estável simétrica (symmetric alpha-stable, SαS). Neste artigo analisa-se a adequação dessa distribuição em contraste com a distribuição alfa-sub-Gaussiana (alpha-sub-Gaussian, αSG) com correlação temporal não nula, no contexto do sensoriamento espectral subaquático.Palavras-Chave-Camarão-de-estalo, comunicação subaquática, ruído impulsivo, sensoriamento espectral.
Resumo-O ruído impulsivo pode ser extremamente prejudicial à operação de sistemas eletrônicos em geral, e de sistemas de comunicação em particular, como é o caso dos sensores de espectro em redes de rádios cognitivos. O artigo avalia o desempenho do sensoriamento espectral sob influência de ruído impulsivo. Dois receptores são comparados: um receptor convencional, que não considera aspectos de implementação prática, e um receptor por conversão direta (direct-conversion receiver, DCR) que leva em conta tais aspectos. Cinco estatísticas de teste são comparadas nesse cenário. Demonstra-se que o receptor convencional é significativamente sensível ao ruído impulsivo, enquanto o DCR possui inerente imunidade a esse ruído. Demonstra-se também que as diferentes estatísticas de teste apresentam diferentes graus de robustez frente ao ruído impulsivo.
