O coxim adiposo bucal é descrito como um tecido gorduroso localizado na face e a sua remoção é conhecida como lipectomia bucal ou bichectomia, podendo ser indicada com finalidade estética e funcional. Esse trabalho tem como objetivo relatar um caso de complicação mediata após a lipectomia bucal. Paciente, 33 anos, sexo feminino, buscou tratamento por apresentar morsicatio bilateral. Foi realizada cirurgia de lipectomia bucal e após três horas do fim do procedimento, a paciente relatou edema na face desproporcional e unilateral direito, com presença de dor leve e latejante, havendo evidente formação de hematoma periorbitário e equimose no olho direito. A paciente necessitou de nova intervenção para explorar a ferida, necessitando de drenagem do hematoma, seguida de manobras de compressão e cauterização com bisturi elétrico monopolar. Diante da estabilização do sangramento, a paciente foi orientada a fazer uso de antibiótico, bem como controlar a dor com analgésicos e crioterapia, sendo monitorada diariamente até que a regressão do edema fosse evidente. O hematoma regrediu com 30 dias, não havendo prejuízo funcional e estético. A cirurgia de lipectomia bucal deve ser realizada por um profissional qualificado com experiência em ambiente ambulatorial e hospitalar, com capacidade de intervir precocemente nas possíveis intercorrências, minimizando a possibilidade de evolução para complicações mais significativas.

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar as reservas glicogênicas (GLI) dos músculos ventrículo (V), diafragma (D) e peitoral (P), além de parâmetros eletrocardiográficos em ratas tratadas com β-alanina. Foram utilizadas 15 ratas Wistar jovens, submetidas a cuidados ideais de bioterismo, divididas em grupos denominados controle (C), tratados com β-alanina por 7 dias (A7) e por 15 dias (A15). Os grupos tratados receberam a β-alanina (Beta Cálcio Alanine ® ) disponível na água para beber na concentração de 1,8%. Dentro do período experimental, os animais foram anestesiados e os segmentos ST e QT captados (Heart Ware System®); a seguir, os animais foram eutanasiados e os músculos coletados para a avaliação das GLI. Os dados foram avaliados por meio de Anova one way e Teste de Tukey, p<0,05. No grupo A7, o ST e QT foram mais lentos se comparados ao C, e no grupo A15 foram mais rápidos se comparados ao C e A7 (p<0,05), indicando que a β-alanina pode modificar a condutância elétrica no músculo cardíaco. O GLI também foi modificado, sendo observado que nos músculos P e D houve aumento progressivo do 7º. a 15º. dia de suplementação, condição não observada no V, cujo aumento do GLI ocorreu significativamente no 15º. dia. Os dados indicam que a β-alanina pode modificar a condução elétrica no ECG e indiretamente promover elevação nas reservas de glicogênio, por ser secretagogo da insulina. Palavras-chave: Βeta-alanina. Suplementação. Eletrocardiografia.Abstract An ergogenic resource that has been the target of studies is β-alanine, against its ability to promote improvement in athletic performance. The objective of this study was to evaluate the muscular glycogen reserves (GLI) represented by the ventricle (V), diaphragm (D) and pectoral (P), as well as electrocardiographic parameters in rats treated with β-alanine. Fifteen young female Wistar rats submitted to optimal bioterism care were used and were divided into groups called Control (C), treated with beta alanine for 7 days (A7) and treated for 15 days (A15). The treated groups received β-alanine (Beta Calcium Alanine®) available in drinking water at the concentration of 1.8%. Within the experimental period, the animals were anesthetized and the ST and QT segments captured (Heart Ware System®); then the animals were euthanized and the muscles collected for GLI assessment. The data were evaluated through Anova one way and Tukey test, p <0.05.
