RESUMOAo longo das últimas décadas, os temas "Processos de Negócios", "Logística" e "Cadeia de Suprimentos" tem sido amplamente tratados em fóruns, revistas científicas e demais publicações, gerando uma expectativa no seu estudo, e também no aprofundamento, produzindo assim, nesta corrente, uma crescente necessidade de treinar profissionais para atuação nestas áreas, bem como pesquisar conceitos desenvolvidos fora do país. Não obstante, devemos atentar ao fato que a existência do risco é parte de toda operação, seja qual for a natureza, devendo assim considerá-lo como certa nas cadeias de suprimentos. Neste sentido, o foco desta pesquisa é identificar estados, eventos e riscos relacionados aos sistemas produtivos enxutos, lean manufacturing, e seus possíveis impactos nos processos de cadeias de suprimentos.

IntroduçãoA pesquisa em SCRM, Supply Chain Risk Management, objetiva a desenvolver abordagens para identificação, avaliação, análise e atuação em áreas de vulnerabilidade e risco em cadeias de suprimentos (HALLIKAS et al., 2004). Identificar a exposição organizacional à incerteza, garantindo que as atividades principais da organização, devidamente qualificadas e descritas, possuam todos os seus possíveis riscos determinados (AIRMIC, ALARM, IRM, 2002), oferta uma dimensão singular aos stakeholders da confiabilidade em seu processo de negócios. É, portanto, crucial que sejam identificados os gaps de conhecimento, os quais se refletem na existência de riscos em Cadeias de Suprimentos (CS). É conhecido na literatura e ratificado mais adiante neste trabalho, que os riscos são de diversas amplitudes e naturezas, podendo causar os mais variados efeitos indesejados, inclusive a própria inviabilidade do negócio. Neste sentido, não é pretensão deste trabalho efetuar um detalhamento efetivo de todos os riscos encontrados em cada processo de uma CS. Vale ressaltar que cada CS possui suas nuances, determinadas pelo core business da empresa focal, tipicidade dos clientes ou mesmo por conta do tipo de operação mercantil realizada, desta forma, para garantir um nível de generalidade aceitável e aplicável, este trabalho baseou-se nos processos identificados em Lambert (2001), cuja referência literária é de reconhecido destaque e aceitação.Compreender e ponderar os riscos envolvidos na cadeia de suprimentos, bem como os elementos pertinentes, estados e eventos, aos quais estão correlacionados, é uma das áreas de conhecimento chave para a boa gestão e a garantia de retorno ao investimento.
