La evaluación perceptual auditiva es la herramienta más antigua y con mayor uso para determinar la idoneidad de la voz humana. Como resultado de una revisión minuciosa en PubMed se identifica que este enfoque ha evolucionado en lo conceptual y lo metodológico enmarcado en tres momentos: el primero caracterizado por el uso indiscriminado de etiquetas particulares, el segundo centrado en la construcción y refinamiento de escalas con confiabilidad intra e interevaluador, y a futuro, su posicionamiento como un estándar de oro que exalta los determinantes humanos y sociales de la voz. Las escalas más utilizadas en las investigaciones fueron GRBAS y CAPE-V. Adicionalmente, se argumenta la idoneidad de los vocablos más apropiados en idioma español para la denominación de “voice quality” equiparable a cualidad vocal (indicador descriptivo multidimensional) o calidad vocal (valoración de severidad) según corresponda.
Introducción. Los docentes son usuarios ocupacionales de la voz con alto riesgo de desarrollar patologías vocales a causa de su labor. Para enfrentar esta problemática, suelen usarse ejercicios con tracto vocal semiocluido (TVSO), estrategia de educación/rehabilitación empleada para generar un cambio en el patrón de vibración de los pliegues vocales, minimizando el riesgo de lesión vocal al reducir el estrés de colisión al que se someten los tejidos. Diversos reportes han indicado que este tratamiento tiene efectos en el cociente de cierre (CQ), medida indirecta del estrés de colisión. Objetivo. Examinar el efecto fisiológico de dos ejercicios con TVSO en la actividad laríngea de profesores con esfuerzo vocal constante pero sin patología vocal. Metodología. Se registraron muestras de 43 profesores antes, durante y después de la realización de dos ejercicios con TVSO (vibración lingual y fonación en tubos). Las muestras de electroglotografía se analizaron para obtener el CQ. Resultados y conclusión. Se observó una diferencia significativa al comparar los valores del CQ antes y durante la realización de ambos ejercicios. No se encontraron cambios en este parámetro después de ejecutar la actividad. Estos hallazgos concuerdan con reportes previos en los cuales el CQ tiende a aumentar durante la fonación en tubos; contrariamente, la realización de la vibración lingual tiende a decrecer el valor del CQ. Es posible que este comportamiento se deba a los mecanismos biomecánicos particulares de cada ejercicio.

Este documento recoge los resúmenes de las charlas presentadas en el marco del Día Mundial de la Voz 2018, en la jornada de Teleconferencias Nacionales de Evaluación perceptual auditiva de la voz: “Resignifcando lo que hacemos” organizada por la Facultad de Fonoaudiología de la Fundación Universitaria Escuela Colombiana de Rehabilitación (ECR) y el Departamento de la Comunicación Humana de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia (UN),con apoyo de los programas de fonoaudiología de la Corporación Universitaria Iberoamericana y la Universidad del Valle (UNIVALLE). La jornada se originó de forma presencial en el Auditorio Juan Ruíz Mora de la ECR (Bogotá) donde asistieron estudiantes y egresados de la ECR, la Corporación Universitaria Iberoamericana, de la Universidad Manuela Beltrán y la Universidad del Rosario; también se transmitió desde la UN en Bogotá y UNIVALLE en Cali. Se conectaron en directo las siguientes instituciones universitarias con programas de fonoaudiología en el país: Universidad del Cauca, Univesidad de Santander (Bucaramanga), Universidad Metropolitana de Barranquilla, Fundación Universitaria María Cano (Medellín),Universidad Santiago de Cali, Universidad de Sucre (Sincelejo) y la Universidad de San Buenaventura (Cartagena). El evento se realizó de 8 a 12 m del día 16 de abril de 2018, fecha en que se conmemorael Día Mundial de la Voz.De esta forma, estuvieron presentes la mayoría de programas de fonoaudiología colombianos.
