Dentro del plan de mantenimiento de infraestructuras de Calle 30, empresa pública del Ayuntamiento de Madrid, se plantea el acondicionamiento del puente que resuelve el cruce de la prolongación de la calle O’Donnell (M-23) sobre la M-30. Este puente, construido aproximadamente en 1970, está constituido por dos tableros independientes de hormigón pretensado, con pilas y estribos de hormigón armado. Consta de 5 vanos de luces 15 +24 +38 +24 +15 m. La sección transversal de cada tablero, con una anchura de 20,40 m, está formada por dos losas aligeradas de hormigón pretensado en forma de artesa, con canto variable entre 0,95 y 1,20 m, unidas por la losa superior. La rehabilitación de la estructura implicó actuaciones en estribos, pilas y tablero, la mayoría consistentes en reparaciones superficiales, pero también fueron necesarias actuaciones más profundas a nivel estructural. A continuación se exponen las 3 principales actuaciones de rehabilitación llevadas a cabo: 1) Sustitución de apoyos de estribos. La principal dificultad fue el pequeño espacio disponible para alojar los gatos y trabajar. 2) Inyección de fisuras: en total, 925 m de tratamiento de fisuras. 3) Instalación de nuevos pretiles. Aplicando la nueva normativa de pretiles y barreras de seguridad, el nivel de contención necesario es H4b. Teniendo en cuenta los criterios de deflexión dinámica y anchura de trabajo, se optó por un pretil metálico anclado químicamente al tablero, previo refuerzo del mismo a base de un sistema de láminas de CFRP. Todos los trabajos se realizaron con la premisa de minimizar la afección al tráfico inferior de la M-30, así como manteniendo el tráfico abierto sobre la propia estructura al menos en una de las 2 calzadas.
El viaducto sobre el Júcar es un puente mixto de 216 m de longitud y 29 m de ancho de plataforma (33,40 m de ancho estructural) cuyo vano principal es un arco de tablero inferior de 90 m de luz, que en otra comunicación se describe con detalle. Descartada la opción de montaje con grúas por la dificultad que tal maniobra entrañaba, el proceso de ejecución elegido fue un lanzamiento poco convencional mediante el uso de carretones autopropulsados o SPMTs (Self Propelled Modular Transport). Debido a las condiciones particulares del lanzamiento, este método resultó ventajoso respecto a los empujes convencionales. Como principales ventajas, el ahorro en material de refuerzo en el tablero, pues únicamente fueron necesarios refuerzos localizados, en lugar de un refuerzo generalizado en todo el cordón de deslizamiento, y el poder acortar la longitud de voladizo máxima durante la maniobra, dejándola en 67,5 m. El sistema de diagonales provisionales también pudo ser optimizado mediante este método de lanzamiento. Las principales características de la maniobra fueron las siguientes: un peso total a lanzar de 1746 t (1280 t de estructura metálica), 203 m de estructura montada, 125 m de longitud lanzada, 514 t de máxima reacción en un apoyo, y 108 ejes SPMT simultáneamente. Para poder salvar el río fueron necesarias hasta 10 configuraciones de apoyo distintas durante la maniobra, así como varias maniobras intermedias de giros en planta en ambos sentidos para poder seguir con el avance esquivando las pilas. Adicionalmente, en 3 ocasiones fue necesario disponer apoyos mecánicos intermedios, de forma que se pudieran retirar los SPMTs, reconfigurarlos y reubicarlos en la nueva posición para poder proseguir con el avance. La maniobra estuvo en todo momento controlada por 6 Antenas GPS, dianas de topografía en vigas longitudinales, y los manómetros de presión de los SPMT.
