En el cantón «Penipe» se evaluó la salud y calidad de leche de cabras Saanen introducidas en los agroecosistemas vulnerables. Partiendo con un muestreo de 78 caprinos, para el diagnóstico parasitario hematológico sobre la determinación de Brucellasp, se encontró una mayor población de hembras, de categoría tripones, talla alta, semipesados y de condición corporal entre 2 y 3; mientras que en el análisis hematológico se reportan valores para hemoglobina (0.829 g/L), hematocrito (0.24 L/L), glucosa (56.12 ± 9.31 mg/dL), calcio (8.26 mg/dL), fósforo (8.58 mg/dL) y hierro (118.77 µg/dL). El análisis serológico para detección de Brucella fue negativo; el tratamiento para su control fue la aplicación de Albendazol 25% y vitaminas de complejo B, lográndose la mayor eficiencia de desparasitación en triponas sobre nematodos y Strongyloidea con un 97.08%, seguido de las cabritas con tasas del 96.37% en nematodos y Strongyloidea. La presente investigación se planteó como objetivo caracterizar el estado de salud, así como la calidad de la leche de cabras Saanen introducidas en los agroecosistemas de «El Guzo», y establecer estrategias que permitan la seguridad alimentaria y zootécnica para el mantenimiento de esta especie animal.
