Una preocupación histórica y central en el mundo educativo tiene que ver con la enseñanza de los saberes o conocimientos disciplinares, en este caso, de las ciencias sociales. Lo anterior en tanto existe la idea según la cual los docentes encargados de esta labor, en los diferentes niveles de formación, “pedagogizan” o “didactizan” el conocimiento que las disciplinas o ciencias producen, por lo general, en las universidades o los centros de investigación especializados.
La cita anterior invita a comprender la metáfora del viaje como “cierto deleite estético” que le aporta al desarrollo del presente artículo. En esa misma línea metafórica los viajes emergen para conocer territorios culturalmente distintos a un escenario habitual, convierten a los visitantes en forasteros que parten con un sinfín de experiencias y emociones; contribuyen a ello miles de razones y circunstancias a veces deseadas por la voluntad y otras tantas ajenas a ello, sus entramados no son construidos con la vaga idea de una ruta única, sino que perderse, hallar atajos o hacer largos peregrinajes será tan importante como darse cuenta que andábamos perdidos o que estamos finalmente cerca de un destino, lo cual posibilita la deconstrucción de cuestionamientos inherentes a nuestra humanidad como por ejemplo: ¿hacia dónde vamos? o ¿quiénes somos?. Los componentes de este artículo serán la metáfora del viaje y la figura del viajero transitando por conceptos como la educación, la comunicación y la hermenéutica, donde será preciso colocar en riesgo cada identidad y sacudirse las imposiciones y raíces para permitirse ser de otra manera, un experimentador que hace posible otras experiencias.
