Este artículo analiza los recursos turísticos de la Ribeira Sacra (Galicia, España) efectuando un inventario actualizado de los más destacados, con especial énfasis en, por un lado, las aguas mineromedicinales de sus espacios balnearios, y, por otro, su peculiar producción vitivinícola en bancales. En un contexto de crisis sanitaria por la pandemia global, la búsqueda de destinos de ambiente natural y no masificado se convierte en clave para explorar nuevas posibilidades de desarrollo turístico. Dentro de la complejidad del fenómeno turístico y el manejo de distintos enfoques disciplinarios, las vertientes históricas, culturales, medioambientales y territoriales recobran interés en un momento de transformación de los destinos vacacionales y de ocio. Un proceso que se enmarca en el actual decrecimiento turístico y que está relacionado con las recomendaciones de distanciamiento físico y otras medidas preventivas de salud. Gracias a esta perspectiva integradora podemos comprender tradiciones y usos ancestrales, incluso de carácter espiritual, que forman parte del paisaje cultural de la región, aspectos todos ellos que no sólo se van a ver reforzados en las estrategias de planificación para un turismo más sostenible, sino también en la implementación de nuevas tecnologías como la realidad virtual y aumentada aplicadas al turismo.
Este artículo reflexiona sobre la comprensión del fenómeno turístico desde la investigación social en la era de los datos masivos, analizando el uso de la inteligencia artificial para identificar emociones, las redes sociales de internet para trazar perfiles de usuarios y los sistemas de puntuación para calcular valoraciones. Las nuevas prácticas de investigación, surgidas de la mercadotecnia, pueden llegar a relegar los instrumentos de medición que los científicos sociales han utilizado tradicionalmente. Condicionadas por su finalidad empresarial, estas técnicas innovadoras contienen problemas éticos y metodológicos que, en el campo del turismo, están relacionados con los intentos de analizar emociones y opiniones cuantitativamente. Problemas que pueden constituirse en objeto de análisis para la sociología del turismo.
Resumen.-Este artículo se propone averiguar cuáles son las nuevas prácticas de consumo turístico en el actual escenario social y económico. Para ello se repasa el contexto general de los actuales regímenes de bienestar, desde el surgimiento de las sociedades de consumo de masas hasta la actual crisis global. En plena revolución tecnológica, con el protagonismo de las redes sociales de Internet, pensamos que se puede aplicar un análisis sociológico del consumo a las transformaciones acaecidas en esta primera década del siglo XXI. Este análisis necesita de una actualización del concepto de uso social para comprender los nuevos comportamientos sociales en relación a las nuevas formas de producción y distribución de los bienes y servicios turísticos.

To do this we review the overall context of the current welfare regimes, since the emergence of mass consumer societies to the current global crisis. In full technological revolution, with the prominence of social networking sites, we think you can apply a sociological analysis of consumption to the transformations in this first decade of the century. This analysis requires an update of the concept of social use to understand the new social behaviors in relation to new forms of production and distribution of products and tourism services.
