Objetivo: analizar la configuración cotidiana de las prácticas alimentarias de mujeres madres de familia en condición de vulnerabilidad en Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, como respuesta local en su relación con el Banco de Alimentos de México. Metodología: con un enfoque cualitativo se realizaron talleres (participativos y de capacitación) y entrevistas (semiestructuradas y a profundidad) con mujeres madres de familia calificadas con índices de marginación y pobreza extrema, para indagar sobre sus prácticas alimentarias en su relación con el Banco de Alimentos de México. Resultados: las mujeres expresaron las formas en las cuales perciben sus problemas cotidianos relacionados con la alimentación, así como las prácticas alimentarias que se forman como nuevos hábitos para conservar el acceso a cierto tipo de alimentos y mitigar así el hambre y la inseguridad alimentaria. Limitaciones: se describen los obstáculos y dificultades que hubo durante el desarrollo de la investigación. Conclusiones: en materia de las tácticas alimentarias, las mujeres madres de familia de Tuxtla Gutiérrez, en condición de vulnerabilidad con marginación y pobreza, recurren al consumo de las despensas del Banco de Alimentos de México porque es la vía de acceso a ciertos alimentos de los que pueden hacer uso para consumo o para intercambiarlos por otros productos a través de la reventa. Las prácticas aquí encontradas forman parte de una serie de tácticas elaboradas a partir de la inaccesibilidad de los alimentos.
A partir de la lectura de un breve texto titulado Limbo eterno FM-2030, escrito por la investigadora argentina Flavia Costa, este artículo presenta un conjunto de reflexiones para mostrar el modo en que la filosofía moderna y el proyecto transhumanista contemporáneo han luchado contra el cuerpo y la muerte en un afán por superar su condición contingente. El temor a “ser un ausente”, a no mantenerse con vida, nos ha llevado a la formulación de diversas técnicas orientadas hacia el mejoramiento constante del mundo y de nosotros mismos en la búsqueda de la inmortalidad. De acuerdo con este modo de pensar, la condición humana, marcada por la vulnerabilidad y la fragilidad, puede y debe ser superada, de ahí que uno de los ideales más perseguidos en los últimos cinco siglos sigue siendo la previsión y planificación absoluta de la vida cotidiana. Previsibilidad es igual a orden, orden igual a progreso, progreso igual a riqueza. Capitalismo, ciencia y tecnología caminan de la mano en su lucha contra el cuerpo y la muerte, contra la contingencia y la ausencia.
El presente texto tiene como finalidad esbozar un conjunto de reflexiones teórico-metodológicas que sirvieron de fundamento para una investigación doctoral en Estudios Regionales, cuyo objetivo fue analizar el proceso de configuración socio-cultural y narrativa de la muerte en espacios concretos como Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, México, donde se establece una lucha por las formas de significar el mundo y lo que en él sucede. Esta lucha constituye una cultura regional que, lejos de manifestar homogeneidades, revela las complejas mixturas elaboradas por quienes la habitan. La muerte es algo de lo que, aunque no quisiéramos hablar ni escuchar, sabemos por experiencia que acompaña nuestra existencia humana. Pero esa experiencia no se refiere en ningún caso a una experiencia propia, sino a una experiencia indirecta, es decir, la experiencia de la muerte de otros, ajenos y próximos, que nos rodean.
