Un pseudoquiste pancreático es una acumulación de líquido casi siempre estéril, rico en enzimas digestivas y jugo pancreático encapsulado en una pared de tejido fibroso y de granulación sin revestimiento epitelial, generalmente de forma ovalada o redondeada. Este tipo de pseudoquistes se pueden desarrollar por complicaciones en el páncreas que conllevan a obstrucción o rotura de un conducto pancreático. Se presenta el caso de un paciente masculino de 9 años con diagnóstico de pseudoquiste pancreático con crecimiento progresivo, debido a trauma abdominal cerrado. Se realizó manejo multidisciplinario para determinar el tratamiento. Por las características del pseudoquiste se definió drenaje endoscópico transgástrico. El procedimiento llevado a cabo es descrito en el presente documento. El paciente evolucionó satisfactoriamente.
La atresia pilórica es una malformación digestiva poco frecuente y representa alrededor del 1 % de las atresias intestinales. En el 55 % de los casos, se asocia con alguna otra alteración genética o anatómica, especialmente la epidermólisis ampollosa, que se presenta en el 20 % de ellos, en una asociación que se describe como un síndrome de mal pronóstico.Se presentan dos casos de hermanos consecutivos con esta condición, ambos con un desenlace fatal. Se hizo, además, una revisión de la literatura y se expusieron los puntos más importantes.
