Purpose Many higher education institutions (HEIs) have constructed their internal evaluation systems to secure teaching quality. This paper aims to analyze teaching quality, HEIs use students to evaluate their professors as they have direct contact with the professors during the whole semester. The authorities hope to receive valuable information, which can be used for many administrative purposes. The bias in the evaluation toward professors’ gender and attractiveness has already been proven. However, there is only limited evidence whether students give higher value to teaching quality over the professors’ personality. Design/methodology/approach In this paper, the authors go further in the gender-attractiveness evidence and put the evaluation in contrast with professors’ experience, age, etc. Findings The results indicate that the effect of experience predominates the effect of gender and in some areas also the effect of age. What is more, a semester in which a course is taken also influences the evaluation as different professors’ abilities are required in teaching in a different semester. On the other hand, the results do not fully confirm the effect of gender on the evaluation. Originality/value The results reveal that it is important to consider the course structure to assign professors to the right courses.
Selection of personnel in organizations is usually a difficult task. The process gets even more complicated when the selection takes place in complex organizations where different areas can work towards multiple objectives. As many areas might be involved in the selection, the process can become complex and hard to manage. Therefore, it is desirable to use decision-making tools to make the process easier. In this article, we propose new methodology for personnel selection based on Multi-criteria Decision Analysis and the integration of qualitative and quantitative data. We demonstrate the selection process on the case of the Mexican football team selection for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. For the purpose of the article, experts’ opinions are used to evaluate the crucial parameters for the selection.

Results from the fight against poverty have not been very significant when we consider the worldwide effort made in the last thirty years. Some areas even show stagnation, leading to the assumption that there is a poverty trap that prevents poor countries from achieving the necessary big push. Based on Myrdal's concept of circular cumulative causation, this paper proposes an econometric model to calculate the probability of developing countries falling into a poverty trap. The results show that there is a significant positive correlation between the level of unemployment and the probability of falling into a poverty trap, and thus, it is concluded that non-intergenerational mobility and the persistence of poverty are strongly associated with unemployment. This paper compares three different methods of Titan atmospheric density reconstruction for the Titan 87 Cassini flyby. T87 was a unique flyby that provided independent Doppler radiometric measurements on the ground throughout the flyby including at Titan closest approach. At the same time, the onboard accelerometer provided an independent estimate of atmospheric drag force and density during the flyby. These results are compared with the normal method of reconstructing atmospheric density using thruster on-time and angular momentum accumulation. Differences between the estimates are analyzed and a possible explanation for the differences is evaluated. Introduction-Cassini Mission to Saturn and Titan A. Overview of Cassini Mission The Cassini-Huygens mission is a collaborative effort between the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the European Space Agency (ESA), and the Italian Space Agency (ASI) to explore the Saturnian system. Launched in October 1997 onboard the powerful Titan IVB/Centaur, the Cassini-Huygens spacecraft still required multiple gravity assist flybys of Venus, Earth, and Jupiter to achieve the necessary velocity to reach Saturn. On June 30, 2004, Cassini achieved orbital capture at Saturn by firing its main engine for 85 minutes to slow its velocity by about 626 m/s. About 5 months later, the 320 kg ESA-built Huygens probe was successfully deployed from Cassini, and descended into Titan's atmosphere. Following playback of the probe's collected atmospheric data to Earth, Cassini then continued its primary mission of studying the Saturnian system via its suite of 12 remote and direct sensing science instruments. B. Saturn's Moon Titan Titan is an intriguing world larger than our own moon with a dense atmosphere and liquid hydrocarbon lakes on its surface. Because Titan is less massive than Earth, its gravity does not hold on to its gaseous atmosphere as tightly as Earth does, so its atmosphere extends roughly ten times farther into space than Earth's atmosphere. At the surface of Titan the atmospheric pressure is approximately 1.5 times greater than that of Earth at sea level with atmospheric density a factor of 4 larger. However, the chemical composition of Titan's atmosphere differs from Earth's; it is
Sometimes, the size of a company exceeds the level of sales and generates losses; to reduce them, it is proposed that the company incorporates its supplier. Such incorporation can be done in two ways: i) acquire it completely, or ii) associate it. An imperfect information model is built for the company, and the types of suppliers that exist are determined. Based on a signal from the provider, a threshold is derived from which it is beneficial for the company to incorporate the supplier.
