В статье представлены результаты изучения молекулярного состава хитозана, выделенного из мицелия гриба Aspergillus niger, в сравнении с образцом фирмы Fratelli Parodi (контроль). Хитозан представляет собой сополимер глюкозамина и ацетилглюкозамина и является полимолекулярным биополимером. Возможности применения хитозана во многом определяются его сорбционной и био-логической активностью, которая, в значительной степени, зависит от молекулярной массы. Целью работы является изучение молекулярно-массового распределения (ММР) полимерных молекул хито-зана с использованием метода гель-проникающей хроматографии.Получены хроматограммы выхода полимерных молекул изученных образцов хитозана, на ко-торых наблюдается наличие 3-х характерных пиков, соответствующих трём основным фракциям: вы-сокомолекулярной (ММ 34-105 кДа), фракции со средней молекулярной массой (ММ 17.5-27.5 кДа) и низкомолекулярной (ММ 4.5-13.5 кДа). Установлен молекулярно-массовый состав, определена сред-немассовая и среднечисловая молекулярная масса отдельных фракций хитозанов.Построены кривые ММР, характеризующие молекулярно-массовое распределение по фрак-циям. Анализ кривых ММР показывает, что полученный из мицелия гриба Aspergillus niger и кон-трольный образцы, имеют относительно идентичный полимолекулярный состав. Основную долю со-ставляет высокомолекулярная фракция около 60%. Массовая доля фракции со средней молекулярной массой в контрольном образце хитозана составляет 20%, а в опытном – 10%. Доля низкомолекуляр-ной фракции в контрольном образце хитозана составляет около 20%, а в опытном – 30%. При этом показано, что дисперсия молекулярных масс близка к 1, что характерно для мономолекулярных био-полимеров.
