Resumo: Artigo publicado em 1943, no jornal Diário de Notícias, no Rio de Janeiro. O texto apresenta características da filosofia moral de Nietzsche e mostra o filósofo alemão como aquele que buscou compreender o "querer-viver", a expansão da vida. Coube a Gaston Bachelard a elaboração da única síntese dos dois volumes copiados de La rythmanalyse, enviados por Lúcio P. dos Santos do Rio de Janeiro ao filósofo francês, por volta de 1931, tidos hoje por perdidos. Após reiterados tentativas de publicação, o espólio seria queimado em acto empedocliano em frente da Imprensa Nacional pelo final dos anos 50, por sua viúva (não se sabe se por iniciativa própria, se por ordem do filósofo, conforme Rodrigo Sobral Cunha, em O essencial sobre a Ritmanálise). Motivados por esses incidentes biográficos e editoriais, estudos como os de Jorge Jaime e de Pedro Baptista sobre o autor da Ritmanálise o apresentam como o "filósofo fantasma". O artigo de Lúcio P. dos Santos sobre Nietzsche aqui transcrito foi em grande parte recuperado, faltando pequena parte da conclusão, uma vez que a fonte de acesso ao documento por nós encontrado está ligeiramente danificada, particularmente ilegível nas linhas finais do texto.http://dx
