A costa do Estado do Amapá sofre forte in uência de grandes aportes de água doce, sedimentos e nutrientes trazidos pelo rio Amazonas, portanto, sendo complexa do ponto de vista biológico. O objetivo do presente trabalho foi inventariar a comunidade micro toplanctônica dessa região, no período de descarga máxima do rio Amazonas. As amostras foram obtidas por meio de arrastos horizontais super ciais, com rede de plâncton de 60 µm de abertura de malha. Foram identi cados 56 taxa incluídos nas divisões Cyanophyta (2 táxons), Bacillariophyta (34 táxons) e Dinophyta (20 táxons). As diatomáceas dominaram o micro toplâncton da área com Chaetoceros spp., Coscinodiscus sp., Thalassionema spp., C. oculos-iridis, Ditylum brightwelli e Lauderia annulata, seguidos dos dino agelados Ceratium sp. e Protoperidinium spp., e das cianofíceas Trichodesmium spp., sendo considerados como os mais frequentes e abundantes. Essa estrutura da comunidade micro toplanctônica na costa do Amapá foi in uenciada pela pluma Amazônica e pela maior precipitação pluviométrica.
