Introdução: O uso de cinza de casca de arroz (CCA) no recobrimento de sementes de arroz, procurando o controle de doenças, mantendo a produção e diminuído o uso de produtos químicos, vem sendo alvo de estudo no Paraguai. Objetivo: Avaliar o efeito de diferentes temperaturas de calcinação para a obtenção de cinza de casca de arroz (CCA), sobre a qualidade fisiológica e o controle dos fungos Aspergillus sp. e Penicillium sp. e Alternaria, em sementes de arroz. Material e Métodos: O experimento foi realizado na Faculdade de Engenheira Agronômica, UNE-Paraguai. Foi utilizada 4 temperaturas diferentes para a obtenção de sílice amorfa, T0: 400 ≈500°C; T1: 550 ≈600°C; T2: 650 ≈700°C; T3:750 ≈800°C, o delineamento experimental foi o inteiramente casualizado, com 4 tratamentos e 5 repetições. Para a avaliação da qualidade fisiológica foram realizados os testes, germinação, comprimento da plântula, largura da parte aérea e raiz, massa fresca e seca, teste de frio e sanidade. Foi efetuado analise de variância e os dados comparadas pelo teste Duncan a 5%. Resultados: Para a variável largura da parte aérea, massa fresca e seca, e teste de frio, apresentaram diferenciais significativas, onde o T3 apresentou-se diferentes aos demais tratamentos, para a variável germinação, largura da raiz e total não foram observadas diferenciais significativas. Conclusão: A aplicação de cinza de casca de arroz no recobrimento das sementes de arroz, não afetando a qualidade fisiológica, assim também, controla os fungos Penicillum sp. Aspergillus sp. e Alternaria, podendo ser considerado como uma alternativa viável com miras na diminuição de produtos químicos.
