Neste artigo relataremos momentos da produção criativa do grupo Obra Aberta, sediado em Campinas - SP e dedicado a música experimental e improvisação, nos quais os performers direcionam sua escuta a partir de propostas consolidadas nesse domínio. O objetivo deste artigo é esclarecer de que forma a escuta, fazendo parte do ciclo do processo criativo, influenciou as maneiras de tocar e de criar desse grupo. Tais direcionamentos na escuta estão baseados nas propostas da escuta reduzida de Pierre Schaeffer, do deep listening de Pauline Oliveros e da ideia de movimento virtual do som de José Augusto Mannis, estudadas e trabalhadas através de exercícios práticos de improvisação e de escuta, além de peças abertas e jogos musicais. Os resultados são discutidos com base em conceitos e no modelo de processo criativo de José Augusto Mannis, cuja ideia principal é a de um processo que se dá através da contínua interação entre as instâncias de percepção, análise e síntese.
Neste artigo descrevemos o processo criativo da peça de música improvisada A cidade e os espelhos, para eletrônica e contrabaixo, composta por Lucas Uriarte e Lucas Quinamo em 2019. Abordamos a criação da peça apresentando suas influências extramusicais – um trecho do livro Cidades invisíveis de Ítalo Calvino, e conceitos acerca dos jogos propostos por quatro autores – e relatando as implementações criativas que culminaram na estruturação de um jogo de improvisação coordenado por cartas. Para discutir este processo utilizamos as referências acerca dos jogos e o conceito de autopoiese, proposto por Maturana e Varela, buscando esclarecer a fundamental importância da ação/performance ao longo deste processo de criação.
