RESUMO A consolidação do concreto como segundo material mais consumido no mundo tem instigado a busca de soluções para reduzir o consumo de clínquer e as emissões de CO2. Visando o fornecimento de uma contribuição para a sustentabilidade ambiental e da indústria de cimento, esta pesquisa busca analisar a viabilidade econômica do concreto autoadensável (CAA) com baixo consumo de cimento. Por intermédio da aplicação do método de dosagem de Gomes (2002) para o CAA, foi realizado um estudo da otimização do esqueleto granular e da composição da pasta, sendo aferido reduções de até 25% do consumo de cimento em relação ao CAA de referência. No que tange aos índices de consumo relativo de cimento e de custo unitário por MPa desenvolvido em 1 m3 de concreto, foi verificado que os CAAs com baixo consumo de cimento apresentaram reduções de até 34,75% e 16,83%, respectivamente, ao ser comparado com o CAA de referência. A maior efetividade na redução do índice de consumo relativo a resistência mecânica à compressão do que no consumo de cimento por m3 de concreto observado, se deve a constatação de maiores patamares de resistência mecânica à compressão para a composição com menor volume de pasta e de maior proximidade ao índice ótimo de vazios encontrado na etapa do empacotamento de agregados. Tal resultado, demonstra indícios de que mesmo nas circunstâncias de dosagens com volume de pasta inferiores, a resistência mecânica à compressão pode ser aumentada, comprovando desta maneira a superioridade técnica e financeira do CAA com baixo consumo de cimento em relação as dosagens convencionais de CAA, além dos ganhos em sustentabilidade obtidos pela redução do consumo de clínquer e das emissões de CO2 inerentes a menor quantidade de massa de cimento por m3 de concreto.
RESUMO O avanço nas construções civis e o aumento dos desperdícios nas obras tem induzido a busca por alternativas que substituam a matéria prima empregada. Visando a preservação do meio ambiente por meio da redução de extração da natureza, surgiu na construção a reciclagem dos materiais provenientes de perdas ou demolições. Entre as alternativas está o emprego do Agregado Reciclado de Concreto (ARC) em substituição ao agregado natural. Além disso, a pré-saturação do agregado no emprego do concreto pode exercer o papel de agente de cura interna. Esta pesquisa busca analisar o efeito do emprego de Agregados Graúdos Reciclados (AGRC) atuando como agente de cura interna no concreto. Por meio da substituição do agregado graúdo natural (AN) por AGRC definido por meio da compensação em massa, submetidos a dois tipos de cura (ao ar e submersa) e relação a/agl de 0,42. Os resultados obtidos mostraram que a resistência dos concretos com ARC seco foram maiores. Na cura interna, o emprego de AGRC saturado não cumpriu a função de agente de cura interna.
A ABNT NBR 7212:2012, estipula o tempo máximo para a entrega e lançamento total do concreto em 150 minutos; porém, na prática por vários fatores como logística, congestionamento, problemas com caminhão, entre outros, o tempo limite é extrapolado. Geralmente, por falta de conhecimento técnico, adiciona-se água ao concreto como forma de alterar sua consistência dando a trabalhabilidade desejada, a fim de facilitar o lançamento e obter adequado acabamento do concreto. Este artigo tem como objetivo principal avaliar, em situação real, a variação da consistência do concreto e a percentagem de perda de sua resistência à compressão, no decorrer de um período de 6 horas após o início da hidratação do cimento Portland, ocasionado pela adição de água para correção da fluidez perdida. Os resultados, como esperados, mostram uma redução na trabalhabilidade do concreto com o passar do tempo, obtendo-se, já nas 2 primeiras horas de mistura, um abatimento médio de 105 mm, ou seja, 11,54% inferior ao abatimento médio encontrado no tempo T(0) de 118,7 mm. A correção do abatimento do concreto através da adição de água, no tempo T(6), resultou no aumento do fator água/cimento ocasionando perda de 57,47% de resistência à compressão, quando comparada com as amostras do tempo T(0), aos 28 dias. As soluções oferecidas para este problema são: instruir os funcionários relacionados à concretagem; melhora da logística e utilização de aditivos, garantindo a resistência à compressão prevista na dosagem do concreto.
