These words were brought from the field of aviation to surgery, more specifically to virtual planning, to break the limitations of manual planning with the Erickson platform, used for decades to correct not only simple cases involving pure bone movements, but also Asymmetries. objective: This article aims to report a case of orthognathic surgery where a re-operation was required, as well as to demonstrate the quality of virtual planning for the correction of asymmetries. Case report: patient with facial asymmetry, planned manually (traditional) and errors found after 4 years, leading to a re-operation based on virtual planning. Conclusion: Although manual planning is still used, it has fallen into disuse due to its limitations, with this virtual surgery has been gaining space and surpassing each day.
Descritores: Neuralgia Facial; Neuralgia; Neuralgia do Trigêmeo; Bloqueio Nervoso.ReferênciasSiqueira SRDT, Siqueira JTT.
