Resumo: Muitos consideram que na Bíblia Hebraica não hánenhum tipo de humor. Todavia ao analisarmos algumas passagens bíblicas, vemos uma aparente realidade contrária. Não somente situações, mas principalmente a maneira pelo qual elas são contadas, parece, em alguns casos, promover o riso. Tal fenômeno ocorre por meio de inúmeros recursos literários, e um deles, parece ser a ironia. Em seu artigo Humor in the Hebrew Bible, Hershey H. Friedman aponta que para Alfred N. Whitehead, filósofo inglês do século 20 que concordava com a total ausência de humor na texto bíblico, a afirmação acima procede pelo fato de que os judeus eram um povo depressivo devido à sua situação de constantes ameaças de ataque e domíniode povos vizinhos (FRIEDMAN, 2000, p. 257).SegundoM. Com o progresso dos estudos literários da Bíblia Hebraica, a ironia tem sido identificada como um recurso recorrente. Apesar de não ser nomeada, encontram-se diversos textos nos quais se espera que o leitor perscrute além do significado explícito e alcance uma concepção mais ampla e integral do relato. Dentre tais textos, merecem destaque aqueles nos quais profetas são personagens centrais. Reputados como personagens distintos, os profetas exibem uma percepção singular da realidade. Assim, muitas vezes em seus oráculos, a ironia irrompe como resultado de perspectivas diferentes: a comum, da audiência, e a distinta, do profeta. Contudo, esses agentes de ironia também figuram como alvos dela mesma. Em algumas situações, os profetas são ironizados por não cumprirem com as expectativas presumidas e associadas ao seu ofício. Estudar essas situações a partir do instrumental da análise literária é o foco do presente estudo.
Na obra, Crime e Castigo, do escritor Fiódor Dostoiévski (1821-1881), narra-se a história do falido estudante de direito Raskólnikov que, perante o espírito niilista de sua época, realiza o duplo homicídio contra a velha usurária e sua irmã. Ao longo da história, grande parte dos estudiosos analisaram a caracterização da personagem, Raskólnikov, sob o âmbito desta ser um reflexo das condições histórico-filosóficas do período em que Dostoiévski compôs a obra. No entanto, pouco estudo se direcionou em compreender a caracterização da personagem em relação ao arquétipo bíblico do assassinato, neste caso, representado por Caim e seu ato fraticida. Nesse viés, o artigo tem como objetivo analisar intertextualmente a caracterização da personagem Raskólnikov à luz da caracterização de Caim no relato bíblico de Gn 4:1-16. O texto bíblico em questão, foi examinado em sua forma sincrônica e posto como modelo mitológico-literário de crime. Tanto Raskólnikov como Caim representam vozes universais da violência. Eles estão em ruptura em relação ao outro, dado que cometem o crime, e por isso são indiferentes e egoístas. Mas ambos descobrem que não há crime sem castigo. Nesse sentido, as personagens são convidadas para o perdão, para a reconciliação e o restabelecimento pleno do diálogo.
Em estudos sobre o profetismo da Bíblia Hebraica, constata-se a referência à presença de relatos de ações simbólicas. Ainda que fragmentários, os estudos que mencionam tais ações englobam diversas visões. Neste artigo serão expostas as principais características das ações simbólicas e a importância do panorama das maldições da aliança do Pentateuco, para uma melhor compreensão do tema.
