O compósito reforçado com fibra de vidro vem ganhando espaço no mercado mundial nas últimas décadas, apresentando grande destaque na indústria petroquímica. O plástico reforçado com fibra de vidro (PRFV) proporciona a construção de estruturas mais leves do que estruturas metálicas, além da execução de projetos de engenharia customizados pelos clientes, em função da grande gama de perfis ofertados no mercado. O PRFV apesar de apresentar inúmeras vantagens construtivas para as indústrias pode também se tornar um grande agente agressor ao meio ambiente, por apresentar baixa degradabilidade e praticamente nenhuma utilidade após processado ou consumo, até o momento. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar a viabilidade da incorporação do resíduo de PRFV originado no processo de Pultrusão, onde a conformação polimérica ocorre a quente, ao PRFV produzido através do processo de injeção, onde a conformação é realizada a frio com uma diferente matriz polimérica. Essa reincorporação na formulação de grades injetadas, como substituinte da carga mineral tradicional, torna-se uma alternativa de reciclagem viável, proporcionando uma economia tanto de carga mineral virgem, quanto na disposição dos resíduos em locais apropriados, além de representar uma alternativa altamente sustentável, e ainda por produzir grades injetadas mais leves e mais resistentes à deflexão.
