Der in dieser Weise erhaltene Niederschlag hält in Folge seiner gallertartigen Beschaffenheit bei dem Auswaschen hartnäckig Salze zurück. Da die Filtration jedoch rasch von statten geht, so fällt dieser Uebelstand nach dem Verfasser nicht schwer in's Gewicht.*) Eine empfindliche tteaztion auf Kupfer führt D e nig è s **) in folgender Weise aus: Versetzt man die Lösung eines Kupfersalzes mit BromkMium im Uebersehuss und weiter mit Schwefelsäure, so zeigt sich eine schön rothviolette Färbung. Die Reaction beruht nach dem Verfasser darauf, dass die Schwefelsäure auf das in überschüssigem Bromkalium gelöste Kupferbromid wasserentziehend wirkt. Die Erkennung des Kupfers als Kupferbromid ist in dieser Zeitschrift bereits wiederholt besprochen worden.***) Trennung unä Bestimmung vonAntimon und Zinn..Nach Lovitont) kann das Antimon vollkommen als Sulfid aus einer Lösung gefällt werden, welche aus gleichen Theilen Wasser und Salzsäure von 22 o Bé. besteht, während die Fällung des Zinns erst in einer Lösung beginnt, welche wenigstens drei Theile Wasser auf einen Theil Salzsäure enthält. Diese Unterschiede gestatten die Trennung der beiden Metalle durch Schwefelwasserstoff und die Erkennung geringer Mengen von Antimon im Zinn. Man löst zu diesem Zweck in coneentrirter Salzsäure unter Zusatz einiger Tropfen Salpetersäure oder einer kleinen Menge Kaliumehlorät auf und verdünnt so, dass nur Antimon durch Sehwefelwasserstoff gefällt wird. Das Schwefelantimon wird mit einer Mischung von einem Theil Salzsäure und 11/2 Theilen gesättigtem Sehwefelwasserstoffwasser gewaschen.
