Objetivo: Analisar o índice de cesáreas nos hospitais do Distrito Federal, com base nos elementos constituintes dos grupos da classificação de Robson. Métodos: Trata-se de estudo ecológico, retrospectivo de caráter transversal. Realizado por meio dos dados coletados no Departamento de Informática do Sistema único de Saúde (DATASUS), referente ao Sistema de Informação sobre Nascidos Vivos (SINASC), entre os anos de 2019 e 2020. Após extração dos dados, os mesmos foram tabulados e analisados pelo teste do qui-quadrado de Person, no qual foi adotado como parâmetro para nível de significância P<0,05. Não foi exigido aprovação ética devido a esta pesquisa ter utilizado dados secundários. Resultados: Foram registrados 55.477 partos em 2019, destes 52% correspondem a partos cesáreos. Os partos cesáreos foram mais prevalentes em mães com maior nível de escolaridade. A contribuição relativa das cesarianas foi maior nos grupos 5 (34,84%),2 (17,71%), 1 (11,55%) e 10 (10,56%) representando em conjunto 74,66% das cesáreas durante os dois anos. Conclusão: Conclui-se que é necessário o fortalecimento de políticas públicas para a redução de submissão de mulheres a cesariana de forma indevida, principalmente em primigestas.
