In the last years, Quebec became aware of a major difficulty: maintaining the vocation of a country of immigration and, at the same time, linking the various cultures brought and lived by the populations. In regard to health and social services, this difficulty is expressed in terms of the underuse of the official resources, in spite of the reforms and the subsequent adaptations to the reports of commissions and various ad hoc committees. By giving voice to the young people of the Indian community of Montreal met during a research, the authors stress the importance of the role played by their culture of origin in their strategies to seek help when they need it
