Este trabalho avaliou a degradação de gasolina em um solo argiloso utilizando um consórcio bacteriano anaeróbio. Foram preparados 11 microcosmos contendo 300 g do solo esterilizado, contaminado com gasolina 5% (v/m) aos quais a degradação do combustível foi avaliada por 30 dias, variando-se a concentração de fertilizante (0; 25 e 50 mg/Kg de solo) e etanol (0,0; 12,5 e 25,0 mL/Kg de solo). Os microcosmos receberam 30 g do inóculo composto do solo contendo o consórcio formado por bactérias heterotróficas, redutoras de sulfato e hidrocarbonoclásticas. Foram testadas duas condições de umidade, 20 e 40%. Descontadas as perdas abióticas, o consórcio removeu entre 20-60% da gasolina e a associação do bioaumento com o bioestímulo se mostrou a melhor estratégia. A adição de fertilizante foi a única variável com efeito significativo no processo. Independente do teor de umidade, a remoção do contaminante demonstrou um padrão similar, entretanto concentração do consórcio foi maior quando o teor de água foi 40%. Embora o teste de ecotoxicidade indicar a presença de metabólitos tóxicos, os resultados sugerem que a remoção de gasolina em condições anaeróbicas pode ser efetiva na ausência de um cossolvente, desde que sejam atendidas as condições nutricionais mínimas requeridas pelos microrganismos.
